My nextbook 7 will not charge. When I plug in the charger it would begin to charge for a dew seconds and then the charge will drop. I thought that maybe it was the charger, so I tried the charger on another device. The charger charged the other device. What is the problem with my tablet, and is there anyway to fix it??

Is there an indicator light that comes on when the charger is plugged in. If so, does it stay on. If there is and it does then there may be a problem with the battery. If there is a light but it goes off when you wiggle the plug when it's plugged in, then there may be a broken connection inside where the charger plugs in to the socket.

The indicator light will come on but it also goes off without me moving the plug. It will stay on only a couple of seconds.

You could go to the place you bought it or another tech store and see if they have another tablet like yours lying around so you could test out and see if it is just your power cord that needs to be replaced. Because most likely it's time to buy a new power cord. Hopefully you didn't fry the tablet's motherboard also that's why you should test out the power cord first.

Battery on M532 absolutely refused to charge from flat.Tablet worked when plugged in so I downloaded an app killer from android market and killed all but the essential apps then tried again and it seemed top work! Maybe background apps draining battery at faster rate than could be charged?

SOURCE: I have an Asus Memo Pad HD 7 which I purchased 3

the more programs you install and run in the back ground the more the battery is drained. It comes to a point where there are so many programs running the gadget cannot run & charge at the same time. It might charge better if you uninstall a lot of programs or do a factory reset but that is drastic

Testimonial: "I did do a factory reset but the icon is still not showing and it still is slow at recharging. I didn't really have many programs anyway, a few simple card games, crossword puzzles and some weather apps. Right now, I think I have maybe 4 simple apps on the tablet and it is still not charging when on. I checked the battery status in settings and it says "not charging". However, if I turn it off and then plug it in, a red battery indicator shows it as charging."

Could be the connector the cable or the battery itself that's bad.

My charger isn't working

Try a different 5 volt charger with similar plug. You can also use a USB cord with your computer to ensure the tablet is charging. If the charger is bad (they do this a lot), you can pick up a replacement at an office supply or other store that carries them. Make sure the voltage and amperage are the same.

7" touch andoid tablet won't charge

It may be the charger has a loose wire. In that case a new charger would fix the problem. Mine has a problem with the charging port itself. I am fortunatly that my tablet is under warrenty they are going to replace the tablet for me.
