Dehumidifier runs but does not remove moisture. Why?

probably the ac section to cool the humidifier is not working
for a de-humidifer to work there has to be a cold surface to condense the water vapour in the air
if there is no ac unit ,it will still need that temperature difference to work or a sufficient humidity in the air to work

I have a Haier 45 pint dehumidifier, that seems to be working ok. Water bucket fills up, but the unit appears to be sweating.

the sweating is on the coils and is the humidity forming into dew drops that collects in the tank
if you want the de-humidifer to work as planned you have to restrict new humidity getting into the room ie close the doors and windows.

Looking for answers my humidifer is reading full no water is in the retainer and it is not working.

Check to make sure the retainer is installed properly and has tripped the trigger switch inside the back of the unit. If that's fine, then unplug the unit, wait 30 minutes, before plugging it back in. That should give it enough time to reset itself.

Hope this helps to solve your problem.

Our humidifer runs but does not collect water.

Againg, if theres no moister in the air it wont remove water. if you feel the location for exmaple a basment feels cool when entering , then mosuet exist. dehumidifer will make any location warm when removing the coolnest in the air. within summer hot months it will collect more water than in the winter months. if it does feel cool and machine dont remove the water. call a repair person.

Water will not go down drain tube

Sounds like you have a clog. Either try plunging the drain in the stationary tub or replace the line from the humidifer.. Just a thought
