Clean my aeg hg795540xb glass gas hob

What I want to know is can I use Hobrite or a steam cleaner or another cleaning product all the info I can find says use neutral stuff

Customer always needs to follow the manufacturer's instructions about cleaning and maintaining the appliance. If there are some ambiguities then you should contact an authorized service center. I personally believe that it is not a good idea to clean hob with steam cleaner.

6.3 Cleaning the hob
• Remove immediately: melted plastic,
plastic foil, and food with sugar. If not,
the dirt can cause damage to the hob.
• Remove when the hob is sufficiently
cool: limescale rings, water rings, fat
stains, shiny metallic discoloration.
Clean the hob with a moist cloth and
some detergent. After cleaning, rub
the hob dry with a soft cloth.
• To clean the enamelled parts, cap
and crown, wash them with warm
soapy water and dry them carefully
before you put them back.

Error code e9 on hob aeg hk85440075
From another Post from Daniel T:
E9 on this hob means a user interface control board fault. This is the touch control board which you press to turn on.
What the service manual says is disconnect the hob from the mains connection and leave for 60 seconds. Then wire it back up and turn back on and see what happens.
If still the same then the user control board needs to be replaced.
To access this you need to remove the hob from the work top and remove the screws holding the glass on all 4 sides of the hob.
Then you can lift the glass top off.
From there you will see the user board in the front its the smaller board.
Replace this and that should cure the fault here.

I have only used my large oven three times and already the inside glass is brown. I have removed it but failed to clean it using all the regular cleaning materials. Can you suggest any way of cleaning...
Use a Stanley (or similar brand) window scraper. Hold it firmly and always flat against the glass and scrape that browm muck away. Be careful not to let the points on either side of the blade to dig in as this will scratch the glass.

This type of cleaning is carried out on ceramic/halogen hobs so is ok to use on interior slass oven doors.

Not knowing what kind of dirt or grime is on the inside of the oven, I would recommend using one of these Whirlpool products. They all work great and they have different ones for different cleaning needs. Cleaners

Broken glass AEG hob
Hello,
If it is just the edge of the corner glass not a lot you can do if it is broken nearer the inside be very careful as the weight of pans can cause the break to spread.Check serial no. on base of hob body the first 2 digits are the year and 3rd digit is weeks in year.For example 92800055 that would be 2009 and 28th week equals july 2009.Any AEG unit has 2years full warranty.Check and you might be able to claim new glass.Hope this helped.

Maybe try white vinegar - apparently you can clean glass hobs with it & it might help dissolve the fudge stuff if you pour it on that. I wouldn't use a razor as you might damage the hob more.
