I have a wii and it won't connect to the Internet. It says error code 51030. Unable to find access point. Please confirm SSID and try again. Tried and everything seems ok

Everything worked until I unplugged computer and plugged it up again. I have gone over and checked connections more than once and can't find anything that's not connected. Unplugged everything to get rid of computer desk

Have you set up your wifi connection? The Wii connects through a wireless router connection.

SOURCE: Trying to connect to netflix via Wii: error

You need first to have a wireless router for your wii to receive a signal, once this is set up you need to call your cable provider for the ssid#. This will link your wii to the router so that you can access internet/ netflix. Another way to do this if you don't have a router is to connect your wii directly into you bradband modem using an ethernet cable. I hope this helps.

I have netflix it keeps reading error code 51030 unable to find an access point please confirm the ssid and try again I check the ssid but it keep saying the same what should I do

You probably have to cycle your network. SSID stands for service set identifier, which is basically a network name. It's how your private wireless network knows that a device is allowed to be on it, essentially. To fix this problem:
1) Unplug both your modem and your wireless router.
2) Leave them sit, powered off, for a few minutes.
3) Plug the modem back in, allowing it to fully boot for a few minutes.
4) Plug the route back in after the modem has had a chance to boot.
5) It may not be necessary, but at this point I would advise rechecking or resetting the wireless connection settings on your Wii. This is really a precautionary step, but will definitely increase your odds of success. Try connecting again.
6) If these steps don't work, completely erase your connection settings and create them again from scratch, making sure to double check that all the settings you are entering are EXACTLY the same as they appear on your router.

For the Wii. I put my SSID in and make it so it will be wireless. Then i do the connection test... says ''initiating connection test... test connection(takes a while to go through) then after a while it...

ok the SSID is the name of the wireless brodcast, what you must enter here is the wep key to the router. Its along secuirty code found on the configuration page of the router it self. you can nomally access this from a computer already connected. to access this you must find the routers defualt gateway. 1. click start. 2 goto run. or in vista click on whie search bar. 3 type in cmd and press enter.4 type ipconfig and pres enter. 5. look where it says defualt gateway, its a number some thing like 192.168.2.1 enter this number into your explorer. then navigate to your wireless part of the modem, some where in there you will find the wep key that you must enter into your wii. hope this helps.
