Hi. I just purchased the insignia digital wireless headphones for my boyfriend and the headphones won't charge properly. It says to put the on the dock station and the red light will stay on(up to 4 hours) and then go green when it's all charged up. When we put the headphones on the red light will go on for about 10-15 seconds and then go out. Is this normal? Is the red light suppose to go out and then later it will come on green when it is charged? Or should the red remain on the entire time till they are charged? Any suggestions or should I send back for a new set? Please let me know if you can. Thanks!

If the red light is on for such a short period of time, it probably means that the headphones are charged. The red light will flash for a long time and then turn green only when you charge on the dock headphones that need charging. I suggest to try to use them without charging them and see if the headphones work.

SOURCE: I am not able to charge the Exilim battery.

I HAVE A RED BLINKING LIGHT, AS WELL. FIRST, I CALLED STAPLES, BECAUSE OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY I PURCHASED. AFTER A 10 MINUTE TUG OF WAR, WITH AN AUTOMATED OPERATOR, I WAS FINALLY CONNECTED TO A HUMAN. I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS A BATTERY ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT COVERED ( BIG SURPRISE ). SO, I JUST CALLED CASIO @ 1-800-435-7732. A LIVE OPERATOR ( BONNIE ) CAME ON THE LINE WITHIN 2 MINUTES. SHE ASKED ME THE MODEL NO. ( EX-Z75 ) AND PURCHASE DATE ( CHRISTMAS '07 )...SHE SAID THAT IT HAS BECOME AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE LITHIUM BATTERY. A NEW REPLACEMENT BATTERY WILL BE SENT OUT, TOTAL FREE OF CHARGE WITHIN 5-7 DAYS! NO PROOF OF PURCHASE WAS REQUIRED. CASIO IS A PLEASANT SURPRISE IN TODAYS CORPORATE WORLD.
WHILE POSTING THIS, I THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE THE 9 VOLT BATTERY TRICK A TRY. AGAIN, I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED...IT WORKS! :)

SOURCE: Charging...Red Light

This happened to me. The cause was the battery did not fit into the case, This led to poor connection of the battery. After I fixed the loose battery , it worked perfectly till today.

SOURCE: my casio camera battery does not charge

Simple solution  ! just wire a 9V battery postive to positive and negative to negative ( be careful not to interchange them ). hold it together for 30 seconds ! done !
All this does is give the battery diode inside, a boost ! so that its connectors are activated and Voila ! it works camera's now charging !

SOURCE: Battery will not charge

I found this while searching to find an answer to solve my problem. It worked! Some say that it took them about 20 times... it took me about 7. Be patient and just keep trying! Hope this helps!

My NP 20 gave me the flashing red light of death and I got Casio to replace it. Then I had the same problem with my second NP 20 so I dug around for a way to fix it and I found the following advice on a site called FixYa. It worked instantly and I didn't risk ruining my battery.

I had the same problem as this.
what i did was...
i kept putting the battery on the charger then took it off as soon as the red light came on.
i did this about 6 times.
doing this puts a bit of charge in the battery each time before the charger starts to flash.
after the battery as got enough charge in it it can start to charge.
hope this helps.

SOURCE: New Camera Does Not Charge

Your battery has discharged completely - flashing light means error -If you are covered by warrenty Just return -if not one trick is to jump start the battery by :
get a small 9v ( smoke alarm type battery ) and connect pos to pos and neg to neg between your battery and the 9v one for about 30sec then put your battery in the charger and red light should be steady red ( when charging ) I actually have done this on ocasions but using a small 9v trans former and have always had sucess
ONLY do this for 30 sec at a time and repeat if necessary

Pairing probs with insignia bluetooth wireless headphns to iphone, device is showing up on iphone, but no sound

have your put a new battery in your headphones.
they show 10 hours of continuous play so the battery may be charged enough to pair but not to power the headphones.
Change the batteries and try it.

I have an IPOD touch. I just bought d650 motorola bluetooth adapter. I also purchased insignia bluetooth headset. I can change tracks but the sound comes out of the ipod but not the headset

Unfortunately not all bluetooth headsets are compatible with the Ipod Touch. You should go the Apple's Website and see if that have a list of what bluetooth devices will work for them

Not getting Charged

If you mean the Insignia NS-BTHDST or NS-BTHDP, I read elsewhere in this forum that you can reset it and that might work. See the manual. Basically you hold the volume up and volume down together while the charger is plugged in. The instructions were vague and mine did not reset nor show a purple light as indicated in the manual.

However, after trying that a couple of times, I accidently got it to work by pressing the phone/play button twice. Press it normally, not the long press you use to turn it off and on.

So in other words, plug it in to the charger. Press and releas play. Press and release play.

For me, the charge light turns on and it starts charging. I hope this helps.

Mine is new too, sort of. It was an "open box" from an ebay seller. I may return it anyway, since it is clearly NOT behaving correctly. You shouldn't have to press buttons at all to get it to charge. I know because I have another one.

Bon chance, mon ami.

Bluetooth/ Insignia mp3

Hi MzM1990,

You can find lots of useful product information about your Insignia MP3 player on the manufacturer's website located at: http://www.insignia-products.com.

(The actual product page for your MP3 player is located at http://www.insignia-products.com/pc-289-22-insignia-pilot-8gb-video-mp3-player-with-bluetooth-technology.aspx)

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

Best regards.
Ken
