How do I get the movie to play ,because the music CD plays

The fact that your device or player is reading CD's suggests the "detector" is out of alignment and would explain why it isn't able to read a DVD movie. Even so, since there are no serviceable parts for the consumer then your choice is fix or replace. A call to your local service repair shop should answer that question quickly. Good luck.

Make sure you have the correct adapter for your CD player to plug in.
