Try re-installing software. For more detail on cause. Right click on My Computer > Manage > Event Viewer > Application and check errors / warnings based on source.
You can access the manual within PrintMaster 2012. Once you open PrintMaster click "HELP" on the toolbar and select "User Guide". Provided you have Adobe loaded on your computer this should bring up a pdf version of the manual. Once it has opened you can choose to save the file to another location such as your desktop so it will be easier to find when you need it.
I installed PrintMaster Platinum 2011 and it first said that I didn't have the correct version of Java for my Mac. I downloaded the required version and was able to proceed with the installation. Did the error happen to say what version of Java is required? If so, going to the Java website and getting the newest update for Windows XP would probably allow you to go ahead and install PrintMaster.
Printmaster Platinum downloaded and installed reasonably well
on my Gateway 6mb RAM 500MG HDD running Vista Home
Premium. The 26.5MB patch seemed to install okay. In trying
to open the app I got the folloiwing: "Error opening HKLM with
ALL ACCESS - setting up registry" I uninstalled--completely--
and the reinstall worked the same way with the same Error Message.
The install followed the instructions that came with the patch
via msconfig. I can get the app to run with a lot of time-consuming
effort using Task Manager. Once opened it seems to work fine.
It might be a good idea to offer a definition for HKLM, which
is to say IHABT. Oh, yeah, I HAD A ***** OF A TIME.
Presumably this is a registry entry or dll. Please shed some
light on this. I have used this program for years and have a
host of saved projects. PrintMaster Gold worked much better
but I paid a bunch of money for Platinum (knowing full well
it was an older edition).
