There should be a light bulb housing in the inside back of the dryer. most just need a screw driver to open in, just remember to unplug the dryer before do any kind of electrical work...that includes changing a light bulb. unscrew the housing, make sure not to lose any of the screws. with the correct light bulb, just replace the burnt out one with a new working one.

I have replaced the surface light on my KHMS2050SSS-0 microwave/hood several times. The light bulbs keep burning out shortly after replacement. Why are the light bulbs to burning out so frequently?

if this is a standard edison base bulb try this fix. make sure power is off to oven, remove bulb, find the small tang in the base that contacts the bulbs center base and using needle nose pliers bend it up slightly, install new bulb. let us know how this works for you:)

Dryer light bulb burned out

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you
Light Socket

The light socket can get corroded or a wire connection can come loose. You will need to remove the front panel to access the housing on most dryers.

Door Switch

If your dryer has an interior light, it probably uses a standard 40-watt appliance bulb, but check your owner's manual to be sure. If the bulb is good but the light won't come on, check the door switch, which serves two functions: When the door is closed, it turns off the light and allows the dryer to start. When the door is open, it turns on the light and prevents the dryer from starting. To check the door switch check for continuity. You should have some when the door is closed and none when the door is opened. If not replace the door switch by removing the front panel.

It blows fuses or trips the circuit breaker

Electric dryers use 220 volts or two power lines of 110 volts each. Some components in the dryer need only 110 volts; the heating element requires 220 volts. So it's possible for one part of the dryer to be fine and another part to have a short circuit. Short circuits can be caused by the heating element, the main power cord, or any other part of the internal wiring. Loose connections on the power cord cause failures and or fires. This can be checked with the dryer unplugged and removing the service cover and visually check for burning and mechanically check for tightness.

If the circuit breaker trips or the fuse blows when the dryer is unplugged, it's likely the problem is with the house wiring, fuse box, or circuit box. Contact a qualified electrician.

I replace the light bulb but it does not work although the dryer works fine. Is there a special bulb?

with the power unplugged, check the tab inside the bulb socket to be sure its not burned or damaged, also,, at times a new bulb is no good, If you have a multimeter,, put the selector to continuity ,, and place the black lead to the bulb base, and the red lead to the center point at the bottom of the bulb, if you get no reading, the bulb is no good, ( if you don't have a meter, screw it into another lamp, as long as your sure the dryer light socket is a 120v not a 220 volt

Is there a fuse (or similar) INSIDE a Malibu 600 TW (6.0 Amp)?

There is no fuse
There are no replacement parts for Malibu power packs

Malibulights.com has no troubleshooting steps

Here's what I learned:

Power packs are made to last many years 'in ordinary conditions' >> but they do give out.
Malibu power packs stop working and have to be replaced, they can't be fixed.
Power packs frequently stop working when people disconnect all the lights to work on the system, but they leave the power pack plugged in.
Power packs make a humming sound when ON.
Check electricity to unit to see if power pack has electricity.
Check your GFCIs in bathroom and kitchen.
Plug hair dryer into same receptacle to see if there is power.
Lights have to be replaced as soon as they burn out.
With burned out lights, the power pack will overpower and burn out other lights.
Evidently the power pack with no lights can also burn itself out.
When buying a new power pack, match bulb wattage with power pack wattage.
10 - 20 watt bulbs = 200Watt power pack.
15 - 20 watt bulbs = 300Watt power pack.

Whirlpool Dryer 3.5 years old has power but will not turn on. Not a breaker problem. has electricity. Drum turns by hand. No noise is heard.

we had a very similar problem on our DLE3777W LG clothes dryer. It would power up normally, all drying options and speed and heat selections behaved normally but when you tried to start the dryer the start button and the time remaining indicator would flash until the unit was turned off. Called LG and Best Buy and they could only tell us to contact a repair shop. But I realized that the light was burned out inside, so I replaced it myself to avoid being charged by the technician I was about to call. The burned out light bulb WAS the problem, as soon as it was replaced the dryer worked perfectly. I think I saved a couple of hundred dollars with a $4 light bulb. I would have been mad to have the technician show up and charge me $120 just to show up, then an hourly rate and then the bulb.

Hello jmylymok,
Welcome to Fizya,

You said, you replaced burned out dryer bulb on Whirlpool GEW9250PW and now drum light won't shut off even with door closed. Dryer will not work but all panel lights function normally - UNTIL you press start. Dryer just beeps and doesn't work. When I tried the troubleshooting solutions, the error 6E comes up. What does this mean?

This sounds like the reason your bulb went out was more than just a bulb normally dying!
There is a short, or in that socked or the switch or it affected the the control panel too!!
This sounds like a hands on diagnoses job!

Let me know how it goes.
