SOURCE: How do I set my Fossil watch? It has three dials

Fossil do not have a list of instructions under model numbers but issue a list of generic instructions which you have to wade through to find the one that suits your watch.

Go to http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/customer_care/static/fossil-Instructions.html and put your cursor over each of the ones listed in the Multifunction section until you reach the one that looks nearest yours and download the file.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR FOSSIL CH2698

See https://www.fossil.com/content/dam/fossil/PDF/watchinstructions/Fossil_Watch_Instructions_EN_US.pdf

The file is a compendium of instructions for a large number of Fossil movements, but it is unclertain which movements the model CH-2331 and CH-2698 watches use. However, movement OS10 (page 15) appears to be the only one that matches the dial layout, button layout and also has a date window as the CH-2331. The watch has a quartz analog mechanism and uses one SR927W 1.55-volt silver oxide button cell. Silver oxide cells have low current output, but very long shelf life, so if the stem is pulled out completely when the watch isn't being worn, the battery could last many years. Scan the instructions to match up the CH-2698 with a movement number. A good guess from examining photos of the face of a CH-2698 watch would be movements OS20 / FS00 or VD53.

Reset fossil mens es3380

fossil mens es3380 (assuming chronograph)

If you are talking about resetting the "sub-dials"

ZERO (RESET THE watch timers...
Obviously they are going to the "zero" spot ... or
we wouldn't be talking ... writing (whatever).

((but this is where they must be to start))

Simply pull out the stem to the furthest position and
press & hold the top button... You will see a sub-dial rotating...
release it when it gets close to ZERO and single click it where you want it...

Repeat the process with the OTHER (bottom) button...

Repeat the process...

Push the stem... HALF-WAY HOME and figure out for yourself which button move what hand.

When everything is ZEROED CORRECTLY...

Set the time & date "normally"

Normal the stem ...

and happy TIME - KEEPING...

If all that fails... as Tom Chichester says... "RTFM"
(read the manual... (but where's the fun))...

How do i set this thing? and what do all the dials mean?

If you go to the Fossil web site http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/customer_care/static/fossil-Instructions.html
You will find a list of diagrams and associated instructions. (As you run the the curser over each model the picture changes to show the layout of the wach the instructions are for).

I could not find the model you mentioned but there must be one of these that is close to yours.

Go back to the web site and at the bottom of the page in faint lettering there are a number of options; one of them is customer care and they have the downloadable instructions for their watches.

Choose yours and download.

Good luck!

Question:how to set the weekday on a Fossil watch model BQ-9165.

You have to pull out the stem all the way and turn clockwise until you get to the correct day. Hopefully you won't have to wind thru the whole week.

Missing piece?

You are not missing anything. The stem (metal bar, wich is going into movement) from the crown (you say knob) is broke. The stem is made of one piece and screws directly into crown. You've been unfortunate to brake it and the tiny end of stem still in the crown - the rest looks OK , but actually it is what's left of the stem. This is not the job you can do yourself, so, find the nearest watchmaker and ask for replacement. Do not forget to rate, please.
