Hi, the speed control could be faulty, see if you can spray some Wd40 or contact cleaner in the gap and see if that improves things...is it the one with the snail , rabbit speed sign ?

one bar on the indicator does imply low battery power ...is it flashing ? if it is then that's a fault condition

SOURCE: My Pride Hurricane PMV will not go forward or

Make sure that the manual brake release/freewheel lever is in the DRIVE position. The click indicates the brakes are being released but the motors are not kicking in. I hope this helps- good luck!

Stopped going when free wheel lever accidently pushed forward. Put back. Still wont start.

Check for error codes. Move free wheel lever in and out a few times in case the brake micro switch is not making correctly.
Check speed control is not turned down low.

Where can i get brushes for pride hurricane in uk

I would contact pride or a service centre as if you put the wrong grade of brush in the motor you can damage the comm and motor.

The motors are not cheap.

Pride hurricane, pre 2004, when throttle is released at any speed, the mag brake activates immediately instead of allowing the scooter to slow naturally, then applying the brake. all appears to be ok, is...

Things to check : Condition of the brake actuator and the condition of the brake shoes. If there are no flashing lights indicating a problem with the controller, then I would think it's all mechanical.

No forward, only backward

Hi. If the light flashes 7 times, it has a speed controll fault. It might be the throttle lever ( wig wag ), or it might be the speed pot that controls your top speed.
Try moving the throttle lever ends up and down while you are driving the machine. Doing this wont fix it, but it will highlight the problem, if the throttle lever is faulty. Also try moving the speed pot back and forward a few times.
Good luck. Neil.

Hi, I take it been taken then, do you get a error codes ?

see below

DIAGNOSTIC FLASH CODES
The diagnostic flash codes for your scooter are designed to help you perform basic troubleshooting quickly and
easily. A diagnostic flash code will flash from the status LED in the event one of the conditions listed below
develops.
NOTE: Your scooter will not run unless the flash code condition is resolved and the scooter has been
turned off, then turned back on.
Any electromechanical device occasionally requires some troubleshooting. However, most of the problems that
may arise can usually be solved with a bit of thought and common sense. Many of these problems occur because
the batteries are not fully charged or because the batteries are worn down and can no longer hold a charge.
FLASH CODE CONDITION SOLUTION

Batteries are too low to operate the
scooter.
Charge batteries.

Turn the scooter off for a few minutes,
then turn your scooter back on.
