There is no sound coming out from my Denon 982. Another problem is my remote control is not working and could not find a service center or store where I could buy a replacement.

Press the on/off button while pressing the A & B speakers, tried master volume control and the channel controls.

SOURCE: Unresponsive remote

Had same problem with this reciever over the weekend. I had to hook up a TV to the COMPOSITE monitor jack and then I could see the menus. I could never get it to show the menu over the component outputs, however a DVD player hooked up played perfectly. Anyone have a solution?

SOURCE: no sound

Hi guys

It sounds like the unit has locked up from a power flip type situation. I suggest powering the unit down completely overnight and then fire it up again in the morning and see how it behaves. Some of your system menu presets may have lost their settings and may need to be setup again also. Get back to me here if you have the same condition after doing a full reset in this manner.

SOURCE: Marantz SR5200 receiver works only with remote not manually

Check for a stuck/jammed switch, press each switch if one doesn't make a normal click sound or it doesn't move at all that's your problem.
If that's not it check the owners manual for how to reset the receiver (not all manuals will tell you how to reset it) Another way to reset it is to short the memory cap, but that is better left to a tech.

SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V1000 volume control erratic, remote

Hi.

The volume knob issue alone sounds like it's hardware-related and therefore not easily fixed. Also, since the remote appears to be working (the LED's are lighting up), but the unit is not controlled anymore, the IR sensor is probably faulty as well. I would seriously consider sending this AV receiver in for repair. If it's still within warranty, you shouldn't need to pay anything for the repair.

Manual for your receiver: http://www2.yamaha.co.jp/manual/pdf/av/english/re/RX-V1000.pdf

It's not much but I hope this helps.

Denon rca-970 remote dead are there codes to use in a new oneforall remote

There are so many brand universal remote controls, which have setup codes to Denon. The common setup codes to check with Denon Brand Audio devices are, 0481,0482,0038,0031. If you wish to buy its original remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have setup code to your TV/device brand. You should first make sure about the number of digits in the codes to your device have. There are 3-digit, 4-digit, 5-digit and even 2-digit codes. You can get this detail by the code list attached to every universal remote control. The brand name of the remote control you select isn't a matter; but, its code list should have setup codes to your TV/device brand, otherwise you can't set it up with your device. Check out, which brand remote control has setup codes to your TV/Device brand. Setup code list & setup procedure to some popular brand remote controls are given. I think I may have reset my denon avr2808ci as last week it all worked with my RTI remote now everything has to be done separately by hand or with original remotes Another thing I have noted that all

There is no sound on your video. My suggestion is to forget using your original remote and go out and buy a Universal remote control. You can find one at a large drug store or electronics store. They are very inexpensive and very simple to program from the included instruction book. They will be able to detect the codes for each device and store them. All of your devices will then be on one remote as they originally were

I bought a Denon AVR-2807 used from eBay, I got it hooked up properly to my speakers, JBL E100 front bi-amped, JBL EC35 center and E50 rears, no subwoofer. HDMI from PS3 to Denon and HDMI from Denon to...

TMI.

This is strictly a remote control failure.

Read this procedure to possibly fix the remote:
http://remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Display&contents=help_deadremote&uuid=A12963989782821
They also sell replacement remotes.
Or look on eBay, usually much cheaper if available.

Another thing would be to make sure the receiver's remote eye isn't picking up infrared from anything else in the environment.

My denon avr588 doesnt work with the remote controller

First lets make sure the remote is in the right mode, in the center of the remote are two slider switches, one on the left and one on the right
make sure the one on the right is in the Audio position and switch on the right should be in the cd position if this does not help check out the link and page 25

Denon AVR-982

I tryed to look up this model but didnt find it??? HMM ok the optical inputs are sensitive and were you using them?? and then they went out or have they ever worked??? I would open the unit to see if there is a plug or cable disconnected or loose on the input PCB. If that dosent help you probably have a b+ feed issue as all three use the same b+.. your gonna need to contact the manufacturer for service or viset an authorized repair center unless you can get a schematic and trouble shoot it yourself..
