The red light on the sensor will blink every 15-30 seconds. This light indicates that data is being wirelessly transmitted from the sensor.

I have an Acurite 822-RX thermometer that shows HH as the outdoor temp, even after replacing the batteries in both the base and remote units. How can it be fixed or reset?

HH means it is showing the high temperature you (most likely accidentally) set with the MAX MIN / + button, which is easy to do when setting the clock. Just press that button again until the reading appears.

Our AcuRite is beeping every 30 seconds or so. We changed batteries. When it beeps, a signal pops on the lower left-hand side of the screen, but I do not know what it means.

I am skeptical of the "radio Interference" answer. The symbol on the lower left-hand of the panel indicates that it has received a signal from the sensor. My Receiver stops beeping if I stand between sensor (00739) and receiver (00734?). Perhaps they are too close. It took nearly a week for the sensor to indicate or transmit after Irinsed the battery compartment.

I don't know how to turn off the alarm.

The manual is at http://www.acurite.com/manuals/00604A1-instructions.pdf

To turn the alarm on and off 1. press the alarm button momentarily. 2. Press the "+" button momentarily once or twice. The alarm indicator (looks like a bell) to the left of the time numbers will change from on to off.
