SOURCE: hooking up a tv

Hi first of all are you using scart leads to plug into each device here is how it should be set up ok
1. Scart lead from dish network into vcr
2. then other scart from vcr into tv
3. Now ti recieve the signal from the dish network you need to have the telly on the right av channel so that its picking up the signal from the vcr.
you can test this by changing the channel on the vcr controll or direct via buttons on vcr.
If the channels change then your on the right av channel.
Now when your on right channel on telly you need to now make sure dish network is on and on a channel or press the tv guide button just so you know what your looking for when the picture comes through.
You need to press av on the vcr controll this will then pick up the signal from the dish network via the scart lead as av is the channel for scart lead.
say if you was recording from dish net to vcr you would put the vcr on av to pick up the signal so press av on vcr controll this should then allow you to watch the dish network with no problems.
Let me know if you still cant and ill assist you further if it dont work tell me what you have done so i know how much you have done ok

I am trying to hookup a Samsung tv to my dish network where I previously had a Sony hookup and I'm getting a "no cable connected" notice on the tv screen

Hook up your Dish receiver to HDMI 1 port on your TV. Press the input button on your TV remote to change the input to HDMI 1 and you should get a picture on your TV.

Why wont my surround work with new Dish network dvr.

Hello,

When the DISH Network installed hooked up their DVR, did they connect it via HDMI? If so, then it could be a bad HDMI connection. I would bet they simply bypassed your receiver and went straight to the TV, which is why no audio comes out of your receiver. You can test this by turning on your DVR and TV. If you see picture with your receiver OFF, then they bypassed your receiver. You'll need to hook up and HDMI cable from the DVR into the receiver and then out of the receiver to the TV.

Use your TV remote "input" "source" or "tv video" input button. If using the.Dish remote press the clear tv button then input. Repeat to go back to HDMI. Make sure you press sat to change channels once you get back on the HDMI input for dish

I have a vizio TV & use Dish network I just purchased a Roku 1 and have tried both HDMI & RCAplugs get nothing. do i leave Dish in " on" position????

Donald Bosh,

The DISH equipment is not compatible with the Roku devices. The Roku will need to be connected directly to your TV.

How do I hook up my Joey dish network to audio video modulator

Hi Tammie, my name is Kimberly and I forma part of the Social Media Department with DISH. I Apologize for the delayed response. I hope this answer helps you in the future or can help someone else that may have the same question. In order to hook up a Joey to Audio all you need to do is make sure you will be connecting the Joey's output into the Audio's Input. For example if you will be connecting the joey directly to the Tv, using an HDMI cable, the Joeys Output for HDMI has to simply connect into the Input for HDMI on the Tv itself. Feel free to reach me at: [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

I have a zenith tv older model, and have dish network, i need to know how to hook it up and switch it over so i can play it

If you have an HD receiver you will want to use one of two types of cables; you can use component cables which have five ends red, blue, green, red and white, or you can use an HDMI cable which will have one flat connection. If you have a standard definition receiver you will want to use RCA cables these have three ends red yellow white. The connections will be labeled on the television as well as the receiver. Once you get this connected hit the input/source button on your TV set if you're using RCA cables you want the TV set to video 1 or video 2. If you're using an HDMI cable then set the TV to HDMI 1or 2 using the input /source button. If you use Component cables set the TV to Y/PB/PR or component 1/2.

Snow on tv cant get bk to pic

Hi nelle_king my name is MikeHouston of DISH Network. There are a couple things we can do to get thatpicture back. What you will need to do is make sure the TV is on channel 3 orthe right input, and if the picture is still snowy and we are on the correctchannel/input you will need to reset the receiver by unplugging it for 10seconds and plugging it back in. After you plug it back in it will power up byitself and you should see the DISH Network screen. I will send the steps tohelp with the setup. b> # Sequentially follow the below steps until problem is resolved or until instructed to skip to another step 1 Verify HDMI Connections Verify HDMI cables are connected from the DISH receiver HDMI Out to the HDMI In of the Revue, and the HDMI Out of the Revue to the HDMI In of the TV. 2 Reset Revue and DISH Receiver Unplug both the Revue and DISH receiver for 10 seconds and plug back in. It may take up to 5 minutes for the reset process to be completed. 3 Check Receiver-to-TV Configuration Check that the wiring between your DISH receiver and your TV is configured properly using http://www.dish.com/wiring. 4 Secure Receiver-to-TV Connections Check that the connections between your DISH receiver, your TV, and any component(s) (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) in between are secure. 5 Bypass Revue Bypass the Revue and directly connect the DISH receiver to the TV using an HDMI cable.
