Silly me.. I was messing around with the menu options for my RCA TV and I clicked on the audio only option and now I am unable to change it back. I get nothing, not a menu guide, nothing but a blank screen. How do I fix it?

Do a reset to this TV; and check. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Adding speakers

HelloThere is audio output from the TV at its back. They will be marked as [Audio Out]. Connect these sockets with any audio IN socket of an amp or so, whichever you uses to hear audio, with an RCA cable twins. Set the TV speaker option to OFF. To make TV option to OFF, get into its menu, surf through, annd come to AUDIO window. Here you can choose the audio option. Select the last 'TV Speaker ON", and make it OFF. Now the audio from the speakers of the TV will get OFF. You can use the amp you connected to hear audio from TV.RCA cable will look as below. It can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops at your town. Ok12_19_2011_2_27_50_pm.jpg

RCA Model 27F520T - it has no sound everything else is perfect?

I'm not sure what options are available in your audio menu, but here are some things to check before having a repairman check:
Click on menu screen, then select audio menu.
If there is choice of external or internal speakers, select internal.
If there is a noise cancelling option, deselect this.
If you are using remote to increase volume, try the manual volume button on tv.
Does the volume bar at the bottom of the tv increase as you adjust volume ?
Hope this helps

I have a 32 inch LG4000 with built in DVD. Poor Audio

Luke,
You are not asking too much and I believe that you can solve this problem in a menu option on your TV. Most systems designed to work with surround sound and/or by itself have some audio options that are designed to simulate or work in concert with surround sound. Start by looking around your TV menu options for something labeled digital audio compression or something like it. Sometimes there will also be a function in a menu to "simulate" surround sound attributes. Try to change these to factory or default settings, and if that still sounds the same try changing the settings around until you hear more accurate audio.

For changing language you need to go to the Special Menu Options. While on the menu select the one on the far right (past audio, picture menu options). Second line in special menu is the one to select Language, you can change it to english there.
