SOURCE: I have a comfort zone

Unless you want a new house, stop using that heater immediately. There are severe internal electric problems with your heater. Since it's already 3 years old, I'm not sure it's worth trying to repair. With what you described, I'm surprised it didn't trip one of you circuit breakers.

Be safe, Don't continue to try to use this heater.

SOURCE: I bought a Comfort Zone

If it's under warranty, the "hassle of shipping it off is small", compared to possibly doing more damage, while trying to repair it yourself and voiding the warranty. Once they repair it, the warranty starts over again. Just make sure you get authorization from Comfort Zone, before shipping it to them..

SOURCE: My Comfort Zone Utility/portable infrared heater, model CZ1500-WO is displaying an AOS error code and will not turn on. What does that mean and can it be repaired?

If the relays are clicking there is 2 1000 uf capacitors on the board that if looked at from the side they will be domed they are bad. Replace and the problem is solved.

Fan not working on our cz20110 comfort zone heater. Ca we fix orselves and where do we get the part?

If you have the fan out you can look at the part number and do an internet search for it. You will have several options come up for a replacement. There are several manufactures or the same part.

Where can i order a new board for my comfort zone cz1500 the board is bad showing aos code.

It's probably some swolen electrolytic capacitors that need replacing. If you know of an electronic shop close by or buddy that can solder maybe you can remove the pcb and take it to them. Radio Shack may stock the caps.

My comfort zone 1500wo isn't cycling on and off. Do you know what is happening & how to fix it?

Hi, I just got my comfort zone 1500w and same thing. I called Comfort Zone this morning at 1-800-221-6895, they are most pleasant and helpful. She said it was because I had it on the energy saving mode. When it is set to that the fan runs continuously and never shuts off. She said to put it to the low or high setting and once the temp is reached, it will automatically shut off. Then when the temp drops it will turn on. Cycling off and on doesn't work with the energy saving function - she couldn't really give me an explanation for it just said don't use it if I want it to cycle off and on. Hope this helps.

My comfort zone is not heating I had a infarared bulb that went out replace the bulb the heater still want come on it is hard to get techical support to tell what's wrong.

The bulbs on the older (pre-fall of 2010) Comfort zone heaters are in pairs... if one bulb of the pair is burnt out the other will not work. Also they are not easy to line up when replacing them back into the recepticle...they must line up perfectly to work.

A paddle off my heater fan broke off

do not glue it, replace it. Find the 1 800 number, give them the model number, and they will tell you who carries parts.
