Hi! On all of thses tiny co-axil helicopters, it is common for either the tiny gear on a motor shaft, or the larger gear on the rod for the main blade to slide a bit so that the two gears no longer line up. You may need to open the helicopter by removing the side screws holding the two halvs of the body together. Check and see if the gear on the motor is meshing with the gear for the bottom blades. If not, you should be able to slide the gear on the motor shaft up or down until they mesh well. Hope this helps! Now, if somone can just tell me where I can order spare blades for this little copter!
disconnect the wires from one of the motors and check to see if it works in all gears, then do this with the other motor, then swap the wires from the left side to the right and vice versa, if both wheels spin in all the gears then you need a new shifter switch
stucked up mechanism you need to open the cover and lubricate gears and sliding mechanicals after lubricating press the eject button then help the motor to spin by gently pulling tha tray then thats it repeat the eject and close command untill the system runs properly..
I had the same trouble this morning,
I used the screwdriver that is supplied and removed the right side of the body.
I found the gear on the motor shaft had slipped up the shaft and was not meshing with the bottom rotor gear. slide the motor gear down into postion, and install the right side of the body.
most likely you have broken one of the gears on the side of you shredder motor. If the motor spins look and see which gears are turning...... then you'll notice which ones are not. Look closely at the ones not spinning and you'll find you problem.
I just had the same issue with this old, hardly used the SD-V391 DVD/CD drawer not opening. Took off the cover (5 screws, 3 back, one on each side), plugged in, heard the DVD motor whirling but no activity. Manually opened the mech tray by the white slide release (right side, under the mech), and saw the motor gear was not on the motor post. Found the gear, replaced it on the motor post, and works. Hope this helps folks, saved 20-30 bucks for a player at a thrifty, time to do this fixya was about 10 mins.
Turn the computer off,Remove power cable.Use a peper clip insert it through a hole infront of the dvd drive this will eject the door.Make sure once this is opened the tray is aligned properly, slide it in and out.Push it in all the way then power up the computer. This may work for a while, before it goes again,so you might have to replace it.
Good Luck
ya its a pain when its stuck this way. i dont have the photos but i can describe to you how to get the ps3 back on track
with the drive apart there is the long black piece on the left side that controls the laser movement up and down, you can manually push this piece twards the back of the ps3 drive and the laser will lower, you have to do it pretty firm,. once the laser is lowered make sure the laser itself is pushed twards the spiner motor. most the time when manually pulling the piece to get the laser to lower it will pop at the end and be out of place but this is easy to fix but may take a couple of times to get the little guide wheels that are at the front of the drive in the right place.
after its lowered with the cover still off power up the system and push the little guide whell on the front right side up and to the right and almost as far as they will open. at this point you should here the motor spinning to raise the laser but it may not be, while still holding that little wheel to the right, with other hand gently push that black sliding piece on the left tward the front of the drive and it should catch on the gear and raise the laser itself. now you should be able to press the eject button and lower the laser with just pressing eject.
now just add top of the drive back on and insert a cd, preferebly an old one you dont care about or a blank one incase something is still outa sync you dont scratch it. if it takes it well and spits it out fine put it all back together. if the little guide wheels dont open all the way and the cd just slowly spins on them then you may need to start over manually move it back and open the guide wheels out a little further.
this may seem like giberish but hopefully you can see what i mean
