Door will not open after any wash cycle. We have tried to do additional spins after but no luck. It is only 1 month old so shouldn't be a parts issue? may be electronics?

those have a 2 latch system, sounds like the second latch that engages during the spin cycle never quite completed the safety lock , you could try and jumper the latch to see if that would release it, But it seems the secondary latch wasn't working properly in the first place, even the heaviest loads shouldn't pop the door open,

We use bleach to clean the washer from time-to-time.

1. Mix bleach 50%50% with water, and wipe the door seal and bellows liberally.
2. Pour the remainder in the tub, along with one additional cup of straight bleach.
3. Fill all of the dispenser cups with bleach.
4. Run the hottest cycle available for your machine, and the hottest rinse cycle available. For our machine, this is the "sanitary" cycle.
5. When this cycle has completed, run a regular cycle to purge out any residual bleach.
5. Leave the door open between wash loads. This allows the moisture to evaporate, and keeps the mold from developing. This wasn't ever an issue with top loaders. Most people left the lid open! It's more of a problem with front loaders; there are more places where water can collect and pool.

IF you don't get relief by performing the above steps, you may have to replace your bellows seal (the part between the door and the tub). I have seen where some folks' smell problem just won't go away, and that's how they cured it. Normally, the bleach wash and leaving the door open will do the trick. You may even have to do this several times to get the full effect, but it's worth a try, and is much less expensive than replacing a bellows. Like I said, it usually works.

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replacing the Door Lock and Switch Assembly on Frigidaire Affinity and Gallery Front-Load Washing Machine

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.


Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.


Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.


Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the electrical connections then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.


Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Problem seems to have corrected itself! I tried another slow spin cycle, waited a reasonable interval for the Door Locked light to go off, then when it didn't I switched the power to the machine off. I tried squeezing the door catch a few times and pressing the door downwards, then left it. Some time later when I went into the kitchen the door was open. I washed a small load this morning and the machine worked normally. Fingers crossed, it's ok now.

Goto http://www.frigidaire.com/manuals and download the model wiring diagram. It will explain how to view and interpret additional error codes. I have the exact same issue with my machine (will not spin). The error code #E47 indicates that the machine thinks the door is open and will not engage spin. Fixes: new door switch ($85) or new control board ($285).

If this LG LFD6810 dishwasher is less than 24 months old, the parts are still covered, just not the labor.
Recommend you contact LG service and discuss your failed wash motor.
And yes, because the impeller (and the motor it is connected to) does not spin freely, it is the culprit.

set it to spin dran cycle and select no spin and push the rinse hold button 4 times it should read c00 on the dis play and go thew to c08 it will lock the door frist and then go thew all the cycles it will flash on a c# that has trouble

call whirlpool customer service, they own maytag now, you will be covered under warranty.

i havnt seen any flashes on this id look closley at what your putting in the washer as there is nothing in the unit its self as far as mfg that will cause this also try this 1. Open the washer door and remove any clothing or items from the washer.
2. Inspect the gray colored seal/bellow between the door opening and the basket
for stained areas. Pull back the seal/bellow to inspect areas under the seal/bellow.
3. If stained areas are found, wipe down these areas of the bellows using the following
procedure:
a) Mix a dilute solution of liquid chlorine bleach and water (3/4-cup bleach in
1 gallon of warm tap water).
b) Wipe the seal/bellow area with the dilute solution.
c) Let stand 5 minutes.
d) Wipe down area thoroughly with a dry cloth and let the washer interior air dry.
e) Please note:
- Do not use bleach at full strength for cleaning surfaces.
- The use of rubber gloves is recommended when cleaning for prolonged
periods.
4. To begin the clean out cycle, do the following:
a) Open the washer door and remove any clothing or items from the washer.
b) Be sure door is closed.
c) Open the dispenser drawer and remove the detergent divider from the main
wash detergent compartment. See the Use and Care Guide for instructions.
No additives will be added at this time. You will be required to add them at a
later step.
- For Whirlpool Duet, select the “Power” button.
- For Kenmore Elite HE products, move to the next step.
d) Select the “Normal” wash cycle.
e) Select the hottest wash water temperature available, (not all temperatures will
be available).
f) Select the highest spin speed available.
g) Select the additional or 2nd Rinse option (if available).
h) Press and hold the “Start” key for 2 seconds. The door will lock and filling will
begin. NOTE: The water will dispense for a moment, then the door will unlock
and re-lock and the cycle will continue.
i) Once the filling has begun again, open the dispenser drawer and immediately
add 1 cup liquid chlorine bleach to the main wash detergent compartment.
The liquid chlorine bleach should immediately flow through the dispenser.
NOTE: Do not add any detergent to this clean out cycle. Use of more than 1 cup of
bleach per month will cause product damage over time. Addition of bleach without immediately
starting the will cause damage to the product over time
5. Once the clean out cycle has begun, allow the cycle to completely run.
6. After the clean out cycle is complete, leave the door slightly open/cracked to allow
for better ventilation and prevention of future odor issues.
7. If you removed the detergent compartment divider, be sure to replace the divider
to the correct position.
NOTE: If necessary, the clean out cycle may be interrupted by pressing the “Pause/
Cancel” button. This will stop the cycle. A “Rinse and Spin” cycle must then be run to
thoroughly rinse the remaining bleach from the unit. Failure to do so will cause damage
to the unit and clothing added to the next cycle.
In addition to the clean out procedure, always do the following to prevent future odor
issues.
1. Use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent.
2. Leave the door slightly open after each cycle to allow for better ventilation and
drying of washer interior.
3. Repeat this clean out procedure only on a monthly basis, if necessary.
