Maytag quiet series 300
Maytag Quiet Series 300. The lights flash in sequence starting from the outside traveling
inward. The timer counts backwards from 50 to 1. Then the sequence
starts over. and continues over and over. I'm able to clear it when the
time reaches 1 or 2. It stays off for a while (3-4 hours) then starts
over. I can not clear the countdown until it reaches 1 or 2. After I
clear it the dishwasher will work, but until then, no way. This happens
with the door open or closed.
I also have a Maytag Quiet Series 300, Model MDB7600AWB that started making a loud noise last night when my wife started to clean a load of dinner dishes when she came to bed. Normally the entire cleaning cycle is quiet enough to sleep through. She turned it off and told me this morning. I ran it through a 2 hour cleaning cycle and when it reached the washing stage, it began a loud noise, as if it were straining to complete the cycle. It sounded like it would complete the cleaning process, so I let it finish, which it did. There is something wrong internally but I can not identify it.
We have a quiet series 300 and it just started not being so quiet. It actually is quite loud and sounds like the motor is laboring. The washer is only about a year old and we bought it at Home Depot.
