SOURCE: parts list for Kohler K161T engine
I have a troybilt tiller with a K161T Kohler 7 horsepowe engine. I have replaced all electrical components, spark plug, points, condenser, stater, all wiring, and cleaned magnets, but to no avail. I still have no spark. The points open and close properly, the plug is gapped correctly. Does anyone have an idea?
SOURCE: engine manual for troybilt tb 144 mini tiller
Below are a few links that might prove useful. The first two are operators, and shop manuals for the 144. I briefly looked through them and they have engine related info. The third is just an exploded view of the engine.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: what is the easyist way to change belt on older
You dont need to pull the motor ... in fact if you do , that will not help you. We are talking about a genuine Troy, right? Bujilt in Troy not Cleveland.
At most, you will have to remove th reverse disk.
Take off the off the old belt(s) (mine 6 hp Horse is a older two belt drive). You must be in neutral. Pull the belt off the back of the engine pulley and down to give you slace to get it off the transmission pulley then pull it away.
It is very easy to say and a llittle harder to do but not as hard as you think, believe me. I have 2 belts and have replaced them several times.
YOU CAN DO IT>
