I have a Deni pressure cooker. 1 out of 10 times it works correctly. The last 2 times the top exploded off and spread liquid through the entire kitchen. Thank god nobody was injured. I have went through all the steps in my manual. The liquid is added correctly. What is going on? I hate to waste $140.00. And all customer service numbers in my manual have been changed.

All pressure cookers should have a release valve. Be sure that is clean and allows a free flow of steam when the weight is not on it. Test it with just water in the pot. Heat the water until its just about to boil (with the lid off) then close and lock down the lid. Steam should start to come out of the release valve. If not .. clean it again.

most of the time NO but i would try setting it in place and locking down the lid and do nothing for a day or so , do not heat it ,just leave it . after a day remove the lid and see if the gasket looks normal if not REPLACE IT ......... what do you have to loose , just a little time , but just so you know those gaskets dont last forever , your should get one if you can ,just to have in case

How do I remove a lid from a pot after it has been sealed by steam

What has likely happened is when the cooker heated up, the air expanded and escaped, when it cooled off, an air tight seal developed and the top acted as a valve and now the pressure is lower inside the cooker than outside. You need to break the vacuum... This may be done by gently prying the top a bit (carefully so as not to break it) or reheat the cooker. Is there liquid still inside? You could either turn it back on or possibly heat the entire cooker.

How to use the slow cooker on the oval cooks essential pressure cooker

I have a Tricity TSC09 6 litre Slow Cooker and I just love it its so handy, if your gone for even 10 hours it keeps your dinner warm after the cooking time runs out. I smashed the lid and was so gutted I tried for hours online to find a replacement lid with no luck. I went shopping and bought a very cheap 6 to 7 Quart or 6 to 6.5 litre Slow cooker / Crock pot of the same shape the removable pot and lid fit. I bought a cookworks, signature, 24 euro 6.5 litre oval dog standard slow cooker and the lid fit, now I also have a removable pot replacement as well just in case I smash that too. So happy I have my Slow cooker back again.

Here is the Deni website
and the 7600 food steamer. They don't list a 7600 Slow Cooker. The website has recipes, though.

I have a Rise 'n' Time Stainless Steel Prestige Cooker

I too have this cooker and the rise part never rises, I find that I have to hold the handles in such a way as to help it reach pressure and then the little pin rises. You have to have the cooker gauge pointing to the left.

Ultrex pressure cooker model innova 14240

Pressure cookers are only slightly more complicated than crock pots. In fact, you can think of them as the opposite of Crock pots. Where a crock pot needs 2-3 times as long to cook something, the pressure cooker needs only 1/2 to 1/3 of the time.

These are not that complicated and haven't changed in the last 50 years. The only real hard part is being sure is doesn't explode; not that hard: don't cook things that would foam, like pasta or potatoes. Just read some recipes on the internet or get a recipe book at a bookstore, used book store (super-cheap)or the library. My best advice is to make sure you use the lowest possible heat that still allows steam to escape at a whisper. That will keep things from burning (or scorching) on the bottom, which can give a harsh taste and make clean-up more work. Just do it.
