This is a network communications issue, most likely. If re-booting the copier doesn't change it, try rebooting the switch or hub it is connected to. I have seen Kyocera's take several minutes to report they are online following things as simple as being out of paper or a jam. Repeatedly trying things may cause it to stay in offline mode longer. If you are certain all panels are closed, paper and toners are in place, etc. and there are no codes or error messages, the machine should eventually be OK. If nothing works, it may be your cat5 cable or the socket in the machine. If the machine was moved with the cable still in, and it got a hard pull, there could be damage on the main board connections to the cat5 socket. that is sad and calls for board replacement.

Keeps telling me the printer is offline

Check the status of the printer at Control Panel. Set it to online if it's shown as offline. If this doesn't fix the problem, check whether installing the vista driver available at your printer manufacturer's website helps.

Step 1:
a. Click Start, go to Control Panel and select Hardware and Sound.
b. Click Printer.
c. If the Printer is offline, it shows "Offline" status. If the Printer is online it shows "Ready".
d. If the Printer is offline, set it to online.
e. Right-click on the printer and select "Use Printer Online".
f. The display should change to ready when the printer is set to online.

Step 2:
If still you are facing issues, then update the printer driver. This should fix the problem.

My HP deskjet D4260 is offline. I have tried everything to resolve this but cannot find a way of etting it back online. Please help

Once you have added either a USB or networked printer to your PC or Mac computer, you can begin sending documents to print. However, on occasion, a print command will create an error on the printer and take it offline, which will prevent all future jobs from printing. To resolve this issue, you will need to change your printer settings from offline to online.
PC Instructions - Open the Start menu and click on the "Printers and Faxes" icon. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently set up on your computer. - Double-click on the icon of the printer you want to change to online. A pop-up window detailing all current print jobs will open. - Go to Printer in the menu bar of the pop-up window and uncheck "Use Printer Offline." This action will change the printer from offline to online.
Mac Instructions - Open System Preferences by clicking on the icon in the Dock. - Go to the Print & Fax control panel under the Hardware category. - Select the printer you want to take online from the list on the left side of the screen. Then click on the "Open Print Queue" button. - Click on the "Resume Printer" button at the top of the queue window to change the printer from offline to online.

Nokia 6120 shows offline how do i get it online

I just did it with a little help from the first response. However, exact steps are: Go to SETTINGS then go to PROFILES. My cel options are NORMAL, SILENT etc. Go to NORMAL then....gees, since I have it on line again, I can't remember if you go to ACTIVATE or CUSTOMIZE. One of those two options will tell you, "YOU ARE OFFLINE, WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO ONLINE" Of course you will choose ONLINE and VOILA!
