My creative zen 4gb will freeze when playing any media

This started yesterday, i turned off my zen after listening to it but an hour later when i turned it back on it was frozen on a song and nothing would work, i could not even turn it off. i pressed the reset button and tried again, i was still on the same song but not playing. i went back and tried to play a diff song but it froze up as soon as i pressed play thus making me have to press reset again. i did this 4 more times with the same results then tried viewing a picture instead of a song with the same thing happening. after a few more tries with pictures i tried to shut it off after i turned it back on. i would get the shutting off screen then it would freeze up and i had to pres reset again, i have had to reset the zen about 15 times and every time i turn it back on i get the same result of it freezing. i have only had this music player for 3 weeks and would like to fix it rather then return it. any help would be greatly appreciated.
