I spent lots of time last night trying to get my printer to work - it did a couple times and now it won't print out again - trying to print from the computer to the printer.

Turning printer off and on - trying everything

IF THE PRINTER has any ALARM LIGHT. check for paper jam or BAD paper pick up roller not grabing the paper (clean or replace it).
If the printer doesn't blink ALARM. check if you have failed jobs in QUE; IF YES DELETE IT AND TRY TO PRINT AGAIN OR TRY UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVER.

Help! Cell phone black

I've dealt with a lot of cases of devices being dropped in water. Sometimes, you cann get lucky and get it dried off before damage happens. A lot of times, the effects occur later. The moisture has a way to find a spot and the corrosion takes a little while to happen. I'm not very helpful but it's a fact of life: electronics and H2O don't mix. Sorry!

My epson won't print.

Best I can tell you is the ink keeps drying up. Print something(small) once a week using all colors. I've had this problem before as well. Finding a printer that is known for lasting a long time is one answer. I also get replacement ink online. It's much cheaper to fill them your self but be careful it WILL get messy.
Another answer is using a more expensive machine that doesn't use typical ink. They have dry printers that use a wax like substance and they are dry the moment they come out. It's really expensive but it will probably last the rest of your life. Personally I just went with a cheap printer that has fair ink cartridges and I refill them myself so I can print all the time without worrying about running out of ink.
Even with that, if let them sit to long I may need to buy new cartridges because they dry up and clog but when that happens I buy the generic version on Amazon and they are much cheaper.
The old ribbon printers where a lot better.
I don't know why they got ride of them.
My guess is it's all about the money.
I wish I had kept mine.
You can still get them but they also have gone way up in price.
Again, it may be worth it if they last for years and years.
I don't know if they can print in color though.
Good Luck

Printer does not print. have prints in que but doesnt print

Have you tried a quick reboot? Of course, save the file you want to print, reboot your PC and try printing it again. If this doesn't work, try removing your printer in the "Devices and Printers" that you can find in the control panel (or Printers in XP). After removing, try adding a new printer again. Don't worry, you won't need drivers then because the driver is already in your PC after you installed the printer the very first time.
I hope this helps... (,'')

My brother DCP 165c printer does not print black ink, colored are okey. nothing is seen in LCD about this error

If you do not get an error in the LCD screen, it usually means that your Print head is clogged: try running a couple cleaning cycles using your printer inbuilt utility to try to 'clean' the Print head.
If this does not clear the clog head, try using a new original Brother black cartridge (which contains special solvent to prevent clogging) and repeat the cleaning cycles a couple times again.
If the problem persist, you could try buying a print head cleaning cartridge to 'dissolve the dried up ink' as Brother inkjet inbuilt print head are very difficult to access and clean!
Hope it helps & good luck!

Black won't print!!

Hi denzirelli, Apparently several reviews of this printer say it is known for poor print quality when dealing with graphics AND the tubes can become blocked. As far as troubleshooting goes if you haven?t done so already purchase a new set of official Brother ink jet cartridges, black and color. The newer ink jets are a lot smarter and remember the last couple of cartridge serial numbers. If that doesn?t work then try running the nozzle cleaning utility a couple of times. If that fails call the Brother and let them walk you through the troubleshooting process. I don?t suggest you lie, just don't volunteer the fact that you were evil and tried to deprive them of their profit. Worst case they won?t do a warrantee replacement, best case is you?ll have a working printer. If you don?t want to pursue the above option or if tech support won?t help then we?re back to troubleshooting again, when you say it doesn?t print black does that mean colors do print? If that?s the case then I suspect the black tube or the nozzles are blocked. From what I?ve read it?s a little bit of a pain to remove the print head but the key is not to disconnect the tubes. Remove the print head and the cartridge container as a unit. The ribbon cables have to be unplugged from the circuit board. Disconnect the belt and you should be able to take the print head out and clean it. Let us know how it turns out and don?t forget to rate the posting.
