Most cooling fans in receivers only come on when they are needed. Some turn on at higher volume levels, others will not turn on until the unit gets too hot.

sound like you need direct help, you can go here https://www.6ya.com/mrmmike

bluetooth is a compilation of software and hardware there is rarely anything you can do to fix issues with it beside resetting devices. Its possible it malfunctioned and onkyo is know for its receivers having various issues- its not like back when. good luck

NR626 - no sound

If none of your speakers gives any sound, perhaps you pressed the mute button on the remote control?
Make sure you have a source selected, that will give sound. Choose a low volume, before switching anything. You can destroy your speakers, when switching on with full volume.
If some speakers work, and only the surround does not work. check if you have surround sound as input. If you only feed 2 channels you can't expect to hear more than 2 channels.

Onkyo TX-SR508 cooling fan

I don't know the psecific answer but wouldn't it be easier and safer to just locate the fan turn-on signal and cheat it? The fan is already on a 12v feed. I don't think you want to arbitrarly place an inherently noisy (electrically) device like a fan on a 12v buss in an audio device.
