I am trying to get the front panel off so I can get to the pump to clean it out. What do the error codes mean?

SOURCE: What does error code Lr mean and how do I fix it?

says:
just an FYI to anyone who might need to know. my neptune started kicking up an error of LR and stopping. i ended up sending an email to maytag and got a response back from one of their techs. the LR code means "Locked Rotor". when this happens the cause is one of two items. 1) the circuit board at the top of the unit has lost connection to the motor and its control board at the bottom (connector loose) or 2) the motor and or control board at the bottom have trashed and need to be replaced (P/N 12002039).
hope the info helps someone as i had a heck of a time finding it.
SOURCE: how to fix the LO error code on Maytag Neptune front load washer
Not really bad news. The unit requires a door lock assembly.

L means "Lid or Door Lock" problem
r probably means 'release' I couldn't find it anywhere... so I'd guess that Lr means the machine did not detect that the Lid Lock released and cycle end (which means either the sensor is bad or the Lid Lock dosen't lock the Lid).
Either way, something with the Lid Lock system ais not right. Be glad it releases ;-)
SOURCE: We are getting error code E3. What does this mean
Looks like you have either a stuck drum (does not spin) or an electrical fault that make the washer think the drum is not moving.
From a 2006 Technical Bulletin:
E3: Machine control is attempting to drive the motor but is not seeing any tach response. Visual Check shows motor is not moving. (Locked or Hall Sensor fault.)
Specifically, it could be:
1. Spin drum stuck – Verify that the spinner moves freely to eliminate this cause.
2. Hall Sensor (integral part of motor) fails or is loose – When the Hall Sensor fails or becomes dislodged, the control doesn't recognize that the motor is spinning and shuts down. The result will likely be an “E3” code in the worst case, or “SUdS” if it is only getting a partial rpm reading. Check wire harness connector(s) to motor.
Unless you are really overloading your machine you likely have an electrical fault, or a failure in the drive train--especially if the problem is intermittent. Probably time to call in a technician.
SOURCE: what does the error code Sd mean on my Maytag Epic
Hi Please accept
the solution if the issue is resolved post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa. Error 5d/Sd means too much detergent was used. Try the
following procedure---
- Run the unit through a RINSE/SPIN cycle.
- Run a NORMAL cycle without adding any
detergent.
This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. If still the problem
persists, then please check the following things--
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, and
Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
6. Check drain pump.
7. Check the pressure switch.
8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle.
Thanks
Rylee
