Even when the ground dump box is completely full, the machine does not prompt me to "empty grounds"like it use to in the past. i have now cleaned the machine twice with the tablet, and using my fingers wiped off all the coffee gunk/buidup from the back of the flap inside the machine but still the empty grounds message is not coming up automatically when the ground box is full.w

No, first push the self clean button (hold until lights come on). Then pull the grounds unit and empty it, that will turn off one red light. Fill the water tank. Then drop the tablet. Then hit the ground coffee button. Cycle through and dump the grounds each time the grounds light illuminates.
HI
When you want to empty the grounds because it says to in the menu, REMEMBER, LEAVE THE MACHINE ON when you remove the drawer. The machine is a counter and when it reaches the magic number for that machine the message comes on. If the machine is turned off when you pull the drawer out, the machine doesn't know this and the message will be there when you turn the machine back on. Also remember to leave the drawer out for at least 15 seconds or a little longer so the machine thinks you actually dumped the grounds.
Hi Dredge drawer is the big box on the bottom right. That is where the grounds are dumped. Remove the drip tray and pull the drawer out about half way. Push it back in with 1 finger on the right side of the drawer. That should clear the message. If it comes back on when you put in the drip tray, there is a section of the drip tray that can be removed to stop that. On the right side of the drip tray is a notch. Inside that notch is a thin piece of plastic. It curls up on the right side. Cut out the piece that curls up (just the piece that curls, about an inch). When you push in the drip tray that curl lifts the dredge drawer and knocks it out of position. Hi Dry grounds dumped. There is a lever at the top of the door on the right side. Yours is actually inside the door on the machine. Pull the lever back 1 notch from the plus(+) . You are dumping too much coffee in the brew unit and it can not compress it, so it dumps it, or breaks the drive gears. Never push the lever all the way or it can cause this overcharge. Its fine if the brew group is clean but when you make coffee there is always a residue left and this is what causes the overcharge.

Hi You have 2 knobs in the bean hopper. The small one is set to the most positive. Turn it back 1 click from the plus and that should take care of your problem. When you have a clean brew unit it will make the first coffee but a little coffee is left in the brew unit and when it tries to make the second coffee a full charge and the little that was left cause an over charge, and dumps the coffee without making anything.
