Could be the Flame out sensor cutting the power to the electrics and therefore the forced air fan. It forces the heater to shut off should the flame extinguish. It might also be the temperature limit control which also turns the heater off if the internal temperature rises to an unsafe level. If either of these two possibilities the unit may need a service.

The main circuit board supplies ac power to the ignitor ( black transformer looking device) and the transformer increases the voltage that is supplied to the sparking device. Make sure the wires are connected to the sparking device and the ends of this device are approximately 3mm apart and that it is in the general position near the end of the nozzle. If you do not hear a "clicking" sound it could be the main board, wires or sparking device.

I have the same heater with the same problem. I took the top cover off, removed the ignitor and bent the probes slightly closer. Use two needle nose to prevent breakage of the holder. It has been working fine since.

try this, take off the top cover. plug in the heater and when the humming starts, rotate the fan sharply with a screwdriver. keep your fingers away from the fan. if the fan spins under power your start winding is shot. get a new motor. www dot desatech dot com

clean out the fuel nozzle and if it wont burn cleanly, replace it.

All these types of heaters use mostly the same parts and dealer for one brand carry parts for most brands. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4124129-yearly_maintenance_reddy_heaters which explains the problem and where to get the parts to fix your unit. Let me know if you need more help.
