Replacement Parts for Fitness Exercise Equipment at SPORTSMITH

Precor Error LS, Speed Sensor Signal Missing Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or open connection of the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring.
2. Reed switch is defective or has intermittent connection.
3. Drive motor brushes are bad.
4. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action

  1. Inspect the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring for damage or poor connection to the lower PCA. Replace damaged wiring or reset connection as necessary.
  2. Using an ohm meter, test the reed switch while rotating the drive pulley. The reed switch will close when the magnet passes in front of it.
  3. Inspect the drive motor brushes and replace if necessary.
  4. Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace lower PCA if necessary.

SOURCE: E203 error message on Quinton Clubtrack treadmill

Dear Sir:
Your problem is lack OF LUBE, do it in according with the instruction manual maintenance, is to due worn deck.

This produce enough friction between deck vs deck belt.
3) Test the input voltage for main motor if there are voltage motor need repair or replace.
4) Test the output voltage from main board, if there are NOT, the board is faulty.
5) Try to RUN the software calibration for diagnose and troubleshooting.

sincerely. God bless you

Hello! , having problems with my treadmill. When the key is inserted, all lights go on and the incline works fine, but when you press start to start walking, the belt does not move and display E2.

Error code E2 on a treadmill typically indicates a problem with the speed sensor. The speed sensor is a small device that measures the speed of the treadmill belt and sends a signal to the treadmill's control panel. If the sensor is not functioning properly, it can cause the treadmill to display an E2 error and prevent the belt from moving.
There are a few potential causes of an E2 error on a treadmill:
  1. The speed sensor may be loose or misaligned. Make sure that the sensor is securely attached to the treadmill frame and properly aligned with the magnet on the flywheel.
  2. The speed sensor wire may be damaged. Check the wire for any visible damage, such as fraying or cuts.
  3. The control panel may be malfunctioning. If the error persists even after checking the sensor and wire, the control panel itself may be the issue. In this case, it may be necessary to have the treadmill serviced by a professional.
I hope this information is helpful. If you continue to experience problems with your treadmill, it is recommended to have it serviced by a professional to ensure that it is functioning safely and correctly.

How long does it take for someone to help me, on this site.

Hi. Hoping someone can help. I have a BH fitness pioneer classic model G6442C. It switches on fine but belt wont start turning and after few seconds “E1” error pops up. I have opened the box and tested and no power gets sent to the motor when you press start. “LED2” flashes once belt wont start. Any ideas anyone?

My trimline 2200 treadmill will not start the belt. I started having problems where it only worked on very slow speed now the belt won't turn at all. I tried pushing the circuit breaker reset

Likely your motor wore out, or that the circuit for the motor driver is shot. If the panel is starting it is likely that the motor is not getting any power at all.

Belt stopped and showed message ERR22

Precor Error Code 22 Error Code: 22 Manufacturer: Precor
Model: All Models
Error Description: Error 22, No Motor Pulses at Start Up - Error indicates that the display has sent a command for the drive motor to start, however, the speed sensor has not returned the signal acknowledging that the drive motor has started. Possible Reason:
  1. The line of sight between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target is obstructed.
  2. Badly worn drive motor brushes.
  3. Incorrect gap between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target.
  4. Incorrect adjustment of the speed sensor potentiometer (when equipped).
  5. Inoperative speed sensor.
  6. Faulty lower PCA.
  7. Faulty interconnect cable between upper and lower PCA.
  8. Faulty upper PCA.
Recommended Action:
  1. Using a static safe vacuum cleaner, carefully vacuum out the drive motor compartment. Be sure to thoroughly clean the area between the speed sensor and the speed sensor target.
  2. Bady worn drive motor brushes cannot make proper contact with the motor commutator, therefore the drive motor will not start when voltage is applied. Inspect and replace drive motor brushes if necessary.
  3. Inspect the gap of the speed sensor to the speed sensor target. Proper gap is 3/16" and the speed sensor photo eye should be aimed at the larger portion of the targets wedge shaped section. If unit has a magnetic speed sensor, the gap between the end of the sensor and the flywheel tooth needs to be 3/16".
  4. Locate the speed sensor potentiometer (when equipped) on the lower PCA. Set the speed sensor potentiometer to mid-range. Start the treadmill and increase speed to 6 mph. Carefully adjust the speed sensor potentiometer until the treadmill is operating the smoothest. Increase the speed to full speed and again adjust the speed sensor potentiometer until the treadmill is operating the smoothest. These two adjustments are typically small and are generally only a matter of fine tuning.
  5. An inoperative speed sensor will allow the drive motor to start and run briefly before the error appears. If able to access the speed sensor wiring, measure the DC voltage between the speed sensor leads. Two of the leads will always read about 5 VDC. Two will toggle between 0 and 5 VDC as you slowly turn the speed sensor target. If both measurements are not seen, the speed sensor needs replaced. Some units have the speed sensor mounted on the lower PCA and the lower PCA needs replaced.
  6. Determine if the lower PCA is bad by swapping with a known good lower PCA.
  7. Determine if the interconnect cable is bad by swapping with a know good cable.
  8. Determine if the upper PCA is bad by swapping with a know good upper PCA.

Code e2 appears on display screen

E21or E2 1 means the treadmill is not picking up a speed signal once the start key is pressed. First, determine if the motor is turning before you get the E2 1 or not. If the motor turns, the speed sensor is the most likely problem. If it does not, you can manually turn the belt with your feet before you get the E2 1 and you should get a speed reading but eventually you will get an error code because it is almost impossible to keep the speed constant enough for the computer. Try running it through calibration with the motor cover removed. their is Tech sheet under the hood and it will explain how to do the calibration

We have a Kenmore Elite HE4t front load washer and we keep getting an error message in the middle of the wash cycle

Drive Motor Tachometer Error

The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

Potential Causes:

* Check wire harness connections between the Drive Motor/Tachometer and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU)
* Check the Drive Motor
* Check the MCU
* Check the Wire Harness
begin troubleshooting right at the motor. Why start there? Because the motor is one of the prime suspects and it's easy to check. Remove the back panel and unwind the belt from the drum pulley. Now turn the motor pulley (sans belt) by hand. If it doesn't turn smoothly and easily, you have a bad motor.

If the motor pulley turns smoothly and easily by hand, next step is to run the motor with the belt still removed from the motor pulley. If the motor seems to run fine that way, put the belt back on and run it again. If the motor won't run under load (with the belt on), then that's another sign that the motor is bad.

Suppose the motor turns easily and freely by hand but won't run either with or without the belt. This is a more subtle condition because we're probably dealing with a bad MCU or flakey wire harness somewhere between the motor and MCU, or between the MCU and the CCU.

One trick that often works at this point is to remove and reinsert all wire connections at the board and motor. This tends to clean the small amount of corrosion that will build up on the connections. After you do this put the machine into a service cycle (see the instructions in the tech sheet found inside the unit or you can ). Part of the service cycle is running the motor at certain set speeds which checks the tach.

If you've removed/reinserted the wire harnesses and still no joy, then usually the problem is the MCU.
