The easy update link does not work I had to do it the hard way
Go into www.computershare.com.au and resigter using the hin or SNR number of one of your dividend statements that has computer share on it and then update the tfn for each holding it shows you have.

Read "Step 1" of the "How to enter your securityholder information online". It says to put it in the Adress Bar, NOT into Google. The easyupdater DOES work!!!!!

Tim you must have been lucky or computershare fixed their easy updater website links because it was a not easy updater when I tried on the 17/11/2014 on several of my share holdings. I did put it in the url address bar and it did come back with a 404 error that stated the path did not exist so I did it the hard way via registering with computershare and from memory it was a link provided in the snail mail.

I need to find my tax file number

Can't find your TFN?
  • Look on your income tax notice of assessment or other letters from ATO
  • Look on a payment summary (provided by your employer) or your super statement
  • If you have a myGov account linked to the ATO, you can access your TFN online
  • Ask your tax agent (if you use one)
If you still can't find it, phone the ATO on 13 28 61, 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

How do I get tcp/ip address from ISP provider (BigPond)

Normally TCP/IP addresses are allocated using DHCP by the provider to the router. The router will have a private address range, which will be given to a local network by its own TCP/IP.

How do I get to the www.computershare.com.au/easyupdate/mpl site without all the ads?

There are a few things you can try to access the www.computershare.com.au/easyupdate/mpl site without all the ads:
  1. Use an ad-blocker: You can use an ad-blocker extension or software to block ads from appearing on the website. There are several ad-blockers available for different web browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
  2. Use a VPN: A Virtual Private Network (VPN) can also help block ads by routing your internet connection through a different server.
  3. Use Incognito Mode: Incognito mode in your browser allows you to browse the web without saving any browsing data. This can also help prevent ads from appearing on the website.
  4. Use a different browser: Some web browsers are designed to block ads by default. For example, Brave, Opera and Microsoft Edge.
  5. Check the website's settings: Some websites offer the option to disable ads through their settings. Check the website's settings to see if this is an option.
  6. Check with the website: The website might have an option to remove the ads for users who are subscribed to their service or by paying a fee.
It's important to note that some ad-blockers and VPNs may not work on all websites, so it's best to try a few different options to find one that works for you. Additionally, some websites may not function properly when ad-blockers are enabled, so it's best to check the website's FAQ or contact the website's support team for further assistance.
