The camera will power on, can view pictures already taken. It will focus. When I go to take a picture and press the button completely it doesn't take a picture. The orange light will stay while the green light flashes. This just happened suddenly. Thanks for any help. I would hate to go purchase another camera when this is just a cheap fix. Olympus said that they could fix it for 150.00 when I explained the problem they said that they would need to see it. Canon a70; just quit taking pictures, flash works in low light; can review prior pictures on screen; sometimes there are flashing lines, purple & white, when in picture taking mode. Changed batteries.Any ideas
This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
