Use a spoon or wide screwdriver to pop the plastic rivets that hold the interior of the door on. Takes some courage as they dont come away easily, about 8 in all. 1, Remove the window winders, by either pushing the "ring" that touches the interior till it stops and then slide the winder off the toothed stub.pop the cover off and use screwdriver/socket to remove winders. 2, Use old eating knife or wide bladed screwdriver around edge if soft interior of door and pry/pop the hidden plastic rivets, releasing the soft interior away from the metal or the door.
3, You may have to twist off the latch, just like a bottle cap.
4, You will see the wire coat hanger type metal that connects to the latch and locking mechanism.
If you have some grease with you you can also grease up the mechanisms for the lock, lock release, window, mirror.

You will have to remove the door panel. To do this use a phillips screwdriver and remove the two screws under the inside door handle. Then lift and remove the section. Remove another screw from the interior lower left corner. Pry the window crank apart "if exists" then use a T20 torq bit to remove the screw in handle. Remove the panel by lifting and pulling at same time. With window in up position you can see inside the hole a rod going from the door handle to a bracket with a Yellow clip. Slide the clip to the open position and pull the rod out of the clip. From the outside of door under the handle there are two rivets. Use a punch and knock out the center of each rivet. Then use a 1/4" drill bit and drill out the rivet. A flat tip screwdriver will be used to knock off the rest of the rivet. You will need two flat head screws and lock nuts or to reinstall the handle. Lift out old handle with attached rod. Twist rod as you pull to remove it and install it into the new handle. Place the rod through the hole and look inside to be sure is will move to the location of the yellow clip.Install the screws from the outside and the nuts from the inside and tighten. From inside connect the rod to the yellow clip. Lift on the rod while closing the clip. Then test door handle. If it doesn't work properly the rod was not lifted or pulled outward enough. Redo that step until you get it right. Reinstall inner panel as removed.
Hello,(1)Open the door and remove the two screws in the door lock latch
plate on the edge of the door by backing them out with a Phillips
screwdriver in a counter clockwise direction. (2)Remove the two
screws (located on the interior lock face plate)holding both halves of
the lock assembly to the door by backing them out with a Phillips
screwdriver in a counter clockwise direction,pull each side of the lock
assembly from the door,using a flat blade screwdriver to pry them off
if needed. (3)Pry the latch bolt out of the door by inserting the edge
of a flat blade screwdriver under the latch plate on the edge of the
door.slide the latch assembly out and set aside.(4)Insert the new latch
assembly into the hole left by the old latch bolt.Trim the recessed
opening with a sharp chisel if the new lock latch plate is larger than
the old latch plate.Secure the latch to the door with the two screws
provided by turning them in a clockwise direction with a Phillips
screwdriver.(5)Hold both side of the new lock assembly to the holes in
the faceof the door.Line up the shaft from the lock cylinder into the
slotted hole in the latch assembly.Make sure the lock face plate with
the screw holes is facing the inside.Attach the lock assembly to the
door by turning in the screws with a Phillips screwdriver in clockwise
direction.(6)Remove the old striker plate from the door jamb by
backing out the two screws with a Phillips screwdriver in a counter
clockwise direction.Install the striker plate that came with lock kit
with the screws provided using a Phillips screwdriver in clockwise
direction. (7)Close the door and test the operation of the lock from
the inside and outside using the turn lever and the key.Make adjustment
to the striker plate if needed by removing the holding
screws.Reposition the striker plate and replace the screws
Remove door trim panel and watershield. Refer to Section 01-05 .
Check all connections of remote control links and cables. Service as necessary.
Remove remote control assembly.
Remove door latch remote control assembly from latch assembly.
Drill out rivet at bellcrank and link (264B14).
Remove three screws attaching latch assembly to door.
Drill out rivet that attaches actuator motor to door.
Remove latch assembly with actuator motor and door latch control rod lever link assembly.
Install new bushings and clip onto latch assembly.
Install latch with links and power lock actuator into door cavity.
Position latch assembly to door, aligning screw holes in latch and door. Install three screws. Tighten to 10-13 Nm (89-115 lb-in).
Attach door latch actuator motor to door with a new rivet.
Install bellcrank and link to door using a new rivet.
Install inside door handle and remote control assembly to door.
Open and close door to check latch assembly operation.
Install watershield and door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05 .

latch may be worn out. If so, you need to replace it. Otherwise, make sure it is well lubricated and that the striker on the pillar is positioned correctly. Make sure that the hinge pins are not worn either or door will mis-align sometimes when closing. As for regualtor, first find one. Changing it is pretty much a take-out, put-in and adjust operation. If regulator is riveted in, drill rivets out and replace with pop rivets or nuts & bolts.
carefully use a screwdriver or chisel to pry the interior panel off of the door...it's thin, like an upholstered piece of hard board, held on by plastic ribbed push-studs, every so often. Those studs can be pryed out and pushed in to reinstall many times if you're careful but I did manage to break one on my truck. Of course there is also a couple of screws near the door handle as I recall but they are visible. A small piece of triangular shaped plastic must also be popped / pryed off of the forward window area. I'm drinking right now, but I think you may have to drill out a rivet to remove the old handle assembly but it is really easy, just pick a drill bit about the same diameter as the rivet and drill it till it falls apart. Install the new assembly with a pop rivet of your own. good luck
