1. Turn the page face down and insert it into the document feeder.
2. Press Copy twice.

3. If you want more than one copy, use the phone pad to enter the number of copies.
4. Press Copy to start copying or press Start/Enter to go to the next option.
Zoom Rate then 97% will display.

Before your printer is on press the paper feeder tightly and than press power printer. Don't release your paper feeder until your printer is completing task...... thanks

• if you are going to fax from the glass or scanner bed you should put your document face down on the glass
• if you are going to fax from the feeder (on the top of the machine) then you should load your document face up in the feeder

How to send a fax?

• when you want to send a fax ,press the FAX key to illuminate it in blue
• put the document either in the feeder or on the glass
• enter the fax number using the dial pad
• press START

Place the first page of thedocument face down on the scanning glass after you have lifted the scanningunit's cover, if you choose to not use the automatic document feeder. Close thecover again slowly so the document does not shift on the glass. 4. Press the "Scan"button on the printer's control panel, then press either "Black" or"Color," depending on the type of scan you would like to perform. 5. Retrieve the scanned documentfrom the automatic document feeder's output tray once the scan job is over.Otherwise, click on the "Yes" button on the computer's screen,indicating you would like to scan another page. 6. Lift the scanning unit's cover,remove the document from the scanning glass and place the next page of thedocument face down on the glass. Close the scanner's cover and click on the"OK" button on the screen to scan the next page. Repeat this processuntil all of the document's pages have been scanned.

First step is to connect the phone line to Line 1 Ext at the back of the printer port.
Place the document face down on the Scanner Bed Or place the document face up on the Top feeder if you want to use it.
Use the right arrow key and choose Fax Black and press OK
Dial the # you want to send Fax to and Press OK.

The fax should be sent.

after the printer has printed the alignment shoot, Place is face up on the document feeder and press OK button,

If this does not work, Disconnect power cord from printer ( while printer has power ) and Press and hold # and 6 button and connect the cord back.

Follow the process to align the printer

2nd Solution Is :
Press Menu ( setup ) button on printer
Scroll to Tools ( press ok )
Choose Align Printer/Cartridge ( press ok)

up.....same as when you make a copy from the feeder

if using the feeder probably face up as it will likely pull the document in and invert it to lay face down on the scanning glass.

if you lift up the feeder (like lifting the top of a copy machine), then it would be face down on the glass.

there should be an image on the feeder illustrating how the document should be placed - if it looks like a page with lines on it with a bent corner then it is face up.

if you look at the area where you put your paper to seend ( that is the document feeder ) there should be a diagram of a pice of paper with a corner turned over, if lines are on the top part put paper in dac feeder face up. if lines are on the little corner pice put the paper face down,
if not sher put one pice of paper with lettering in doc feeder press copie of it comes out you got it right. hope this helps

Are your copies face down in the feeder? can you make copier face down on the glass? Otherwise you have a bad scanner.
