This has happened since the drain pump was repaired. Pump pumps but it seems like the drainage motor (not pump) might not be operating correctly.
Hello Michael;
My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.
It sounds like your system just needs a good cleaning. Soap film will build up on the draining system components. You need to clean your float and insure it moves freely and makes contact with the float switch which turns on the pump. You may also need to disassemble your pump for cleaning.
There are products available for cleaning clothes washers, but these need to be used on a regular bases. I do not think they can clean enough to solve your current problem. Use after you have cleaned.
Something got stuck in the drain pump and the propeller broke off its axle. I was able to get it back on and pumping but I did and continue to smell burning. Could the pump be bad even though it seems to pump in one cyle? Also, any idea where the float is on the model?
Hello Michael; You have already purchased a pump you probably did not need. The burning smell identifies the problem. If the washer won't drain, should check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't drain properly, if at all. The belt part number is 1225416. Cost $7.00.
THANKS PETER! If this doesn't do the trick, still thanks so much for your attention and help. Hopefully this'll do it.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.
If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.
