Tried hooking up system. looked over entire menu program to find "add new devices". Can't find on my menu. When sound bar is turned on and set to the tv mode the sound on the tv stops working and the sound bar shows that it is searching but never finds what it looking for to turn on. if I change the mode function on the sound bar the sound on the tv comes back on.

Try setting up speakers through your TV. (I suppose your Tv is wifi in to tv) Tap menu on tv remote. Go to network. Tap wifi, then follow TV's direction.
OK, If its the Samsung Sound Bar, this item should have 2 HDMI input, 1 3.5mm audio jack input and a digital audio input (fiber optic). Since there are various input, the remote control should have a source button, or it will probably read O/A Input, this is to change thru the inputs from the sound bar. If you connected your TV HDMI output to HDMI 1 from the Sound Bar, then press the source button to reach HDMI 1, maybe it will be display with a different name, like sound 1, or DIGI.1 Give it a shot and let me know in the comment section. Good luck.
Not sure why you would want to set things up this way, but you have to set the audio output in the receiver hdmi setup menu to tv. This will allow the receiver to pass audio info out of the hdmi jack. By default, this is turned off.
Because your TV is not Bluetooth-enabled and you are trying to connect it to a Bluetooth-enabled soundbar via Bluetooth. There are other ways to connect your TV to the soundbar:
1. analog AUDIO OUT (L/R) of your TV to the AUX IN on the soundbar (use a 3.5 mm.-to-RCA audio cable).
2. Optical OUT on your TV to Optical IN on the soundbar.
3. HDMI port to HDMI port (this may not work if your TV is not ARC compliant you have to try).
You get better sound quality with option 2.or 3. (if this one works for your TV)
Here is the link to download the soundbar's User Manual for help with the connections:
Here is a link to your product description. When you get to the web page, click on the "Manual" tab to read the user's manual to find out how you can connect your soundbar to your TV. HW H450 Wireless Audio Soundbar Samsung Home Audio
I think your set up is correct. The only other thing you may have to do is to set the sound on your TV to 'External Speaker' (or something similar) from your TV's remote accessing the menu.
easiest way would be to connect the optical audio output from the tv to the optical input on the soundbar. You may have to go into the tv's setup menu and enable the audio output jack
