On back of the timer there's a little plastic clip with two "ears". Pull this out gently but don't remove it. Now you should be able to remove the knob.

Removing timer knob on maytag washer mav2755aww

It unscrews or if it is a newer model, remove the console so you can tip it forward. You will see a (usually black or white) pin in the center of the timer, pull it out about and inch and then remove the knob from the front by pulling it off the timer shaft. Check you new timer and make sure it comes with one. So did some did not. Good luck.

How to get timer knob off, pulling hard but not coming off, HELP

If the timer knob is also a switch that pushes in and pulls out to turn on the machine there will be something like a set screw or a clip behind the knob where the shaft enters the knob. That prevents the knob from coming off when it is pulled to switch on/off.

The engine runs but the water will not come out under pressure

You must have blown out the cones (thats how the water gets compressed inside of pump) in the water pump-

You could try this though on the back of the washer right on top of the water pump is a black knob about the size of your hand that knob will adjust the pressure try turning it and see although I doubt that is the problem-

A pressure washer is not like a compressor you HAVE to pull the trigger every minute NEVER let it just sit there running without pulling the trigger to release the pressure that Dewalt 3800 psi washer you have is a great machine in fact we own 4 of them and they are pretty powerful and easy to damage if left running alone.

RRemoving the washer starter dial

Yes, stop pulling on it. Axcess the rear of the timer there will be a smaller hole with a black piece of plastic inside where the knob shaft would be if it went all the way through. use needle nose pliers to grab the plastic piece and pull out. it is easier if the knob is pushed in is gets recessed a little more when you pull out the knob. The new timer comes with a new plastic piec pull it out then push back in to lock on the knob again.
