The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.

The hard drive is failing, Error Code 7 means the drive has failed it's self-test and should be replaced. You can try backing up all of your data and reinstall windows or try a system restore but the drive will not last long.

You would need to either send to Acer for a power pin re-work or to a reputable local tech.

The new HDD, did you reload the OS? It can restore if there is nothing on it.

Probably means your factory restore is no good because it is created from a image that is either on cd's or the hard drive. Most times the restore does not work unless it is put on the hard drive by the manufacturer.

Booting the computer to its Last known good configuration will resolved the issue. Please see procedure below:

Turn of the computer
Keep on tapping F8 key the moment you press the power button
You should be getting a advanced boot screen
Select Last known good configuration from the selections then hit enter
Computer should be booting up by now to windows

it is not flashable then you dont ever update your bios unless it has a problem.

run the command rstrui.exe to restore the system if it does not work only way is to reinstall os

try doing error disk checking (checkdisk) it will tell if the restore files are corrupted, since you mentioned it shuts down on restoration.

or try restoring to another date.
