How to troubleshoot problem with treadmill starting and stopping.
Found one day that Proform 6.0 RT treadmill would not work. Incline ok and display seemed to be ok but no belt movement. Also found no voltage to the drive motor. I purchased a new MC brd on ebay and installed it. Now, when I press preset speed button, treadmill starts slowly and stops immediately. When I press speed up the treadmill takes off at high speed and shuts off right away. Pressing the speed down button give beeps, no belt motion. The LED on MC brd repeatedly flashes 4 times and pauses. I ran calibration and that seems to be ok. Warranty has expired. Can anyone help? What can I do?
1) i recommend that you lube very well deck belt + rollers bearing
2) see the videos.
3) see the block
4) Try to RUN the software calibration, for troubleshooting.
5) measure the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair. 6) Measure the output voltage board, for input voltage board, if there are NOT, the board is faulty.

If the recalibrate doesn't work swap the red and black wires on the incline motor and re plug the treadmill to the wall and let go all the way to bottom. Unplug then remove wires from incline motor and tape off. At least then u can still run on it. But incline feature is no longer an option

Take the cover off and inspect the wiring. Make sure all the wires from the incline motor are connected. If all the wires are connected and everything looks OK, try the incline again. There are only 3 wires on the incline motor, red, white and black. This machine does not rely on any electronics to operate the incline. We know the motor works, because it will go up..Likely the switch in the console is defective. To lower the incline, reverse the black and red wires, that will make up go down and vice versa.. If that doesn't work, the motor is likely defective. The incline motor is available, around $110. To order find the model number on the frame of the treadmill and call the service number found there. Have your model number ready (starts with "P"). The console is no longer available.
how long have you had this treadmill? usually when the hash marks appear it means that the console control board is not recognizing the incline motor. even though it does run a little bit that is just the basic test that the treadmill starts but resets after it does not sense the incline motor. These motors rarely go bad so it is more than likely your motor controller that is causing the issue. I have seen this case many times as i am a fitness repair technician. The motor controller fixes the issue 9 times out of 10
Press the Stop and the Speed Up keys down while inserting the safety key. Press the Stop key one time. The Time window should read EP:2P. Some newer models may also say FP, Pass, or the like. This means that it passes the EPROM test. Press either incline key and the incline will calibrate automatically. After completing calibration of incline, press the Stop key and then remove the safety key.
ProForm Treadmills have a reset procedure for the incline function. With the key inserted in the console, activate the incline; while the incline is changing, remove the key. Wait 30 seconds, then replace the key. The incline should to maximum, then to minimum, resetting its limits. It worked for mine just 10 minutes ago; the procedure is in the manual if you have it. Good luck!
i just called the manufacturer on this and found out i have a faulty control panel, but these are the steps they told me to go through to reset. If it works, then you are good, if not, you may also have a control panel issue. 1. plug in and turn on treadmill, keep red key out 2. press and hold the stop button and speed up button at the same time and hold them while you insert the red key 3. after red key is inserted, let go of both buttons **CAUTION - be sure to stand on side bars of treadmill, clear of the belt for this next part bc it will go VERY FAST*** 4. press stop button once 5. press speed up button until it reads 85 (see what i mean?!) 6. press stop button once 7. press incline down or up one time and it should get back into normal mode. mine just started a series of flashing lights and "8"s in all the "windows" so my panel needs to be replaced. here is the number i called - 1-877-993-7999. Good Luck!
If some buttons work, you more than likely have a key pad problem. Unfortunately Icon doesnt sell kep pad seperately. As a last effort, try heating up those buttons wit a blow dryer. This will work temp. sometimes.
