I would suspect bad transformer. The board may not have a light because it is not receiving low voltage from transformer. With a multimeter you can test the transformer. But, since you likely have a short somewhere be sure to install a fuse right after the transformer or you will be burning up another transformer until you figure it out.

If you have the skill to determine the transformer input is open, I would expect you have the skill to replace a transformer. Based on this assumption: determine the input voltage (120 vac?), determine the output voltage (14 vac?), determine the power requirements (output voltage times the charging current), find a transformer at www.digikey.com or www.mouser.com or www.newark.com.

primary side = voltage being supplied to transformer......secondary side = voltage output on transformer. hot line to hot line, neutral to neutral...........rtfm......read the manual

1) Are you trying to repair a transformer?
I do not know of any repair for the transformer, or available parts sold to repair transformer, although the product does have a warranty, and Intermatic might have a repair protocol for the transformer.

2) Are you replacing existing transformer with a new transformer?
The transformer plugs directly into outdoor outlet, and wires are connected to A and B terminals.

Can you test to see if power is coming out of the transformer thing? If it's not it could have failed. Some transformer have an internal fuse. Unfortunately these are generally not replaceable so the transformer has to be replaced. Transformers are also safety parts, so have to be replaced by manufacturer's replacement parts.

I can't find a schematic that references the transformer and cannot find a replacement either. I'd contact Fender for a reccomended substitute.

Did you solve this? Cause I have the same problem and need some advice...

What has happened to the transformer. Does it have an open circuit primary?  Get back to me if you want a fix.

You may be putting the incorrect transformer in. Try to get a OEM from your local HVAC dealer. Which capacitor are you referring to?
