Have changed batteries, but both remotes (Bravia and Bose) have stopped working as far as changing channels, etc.
Maybe there has been a disconnect with the TV recognizing the code of the remotes? Or, maybe you pressed a button on the remote that will not allow it to change the channels. I've done this in the past where I accidentally pressed, say the TV or DVD button, and when I turned the TV on and tried to tune in channels, the TV would not respond. Pressing the cable button (but that is on my remote) returned the remote to its ability to change the channels. You will just have to do trial n' error.

You may be able to program your cable box remote to control your TV in addition to your cable box. When they initially set up your cable box they probably left a pamphlet giving you instructions on how to program your remote. I'm not sure why you can't change the TV channels manually but this may give you a work-around.

i'm having the same problem. i don't think it is the remote control as the volume/channel buttons on the front of the TV don't work either.

I had this same issue, and solved it by putting the TV in "Theater Mode', which can be acheived by hitting the "Theater" button on the remote.

It can be the IR recveiver module is bad, you will need the scope to look at the signal output of the IR receiver board, you can try replacing the IR receiver module.
