I need more info. Did you check the ground wire to make sure you have a good ground? Some installers try to rely on the antenna for a ground when hooking it up due to laziness and it will eventually burn the stereo out from low voltage, or, you could have amps that are killing the battery enough to drop the voltage down and it's killing the stereo. I have also seen ground loops kill stereos, but, I need a bit clearer info as to exactly whats happening to answer the question.

SOURCE: the front screen wont power
There should be a small reset push in on the lower left hand on the monitor panel by the buttons. Press in a pen or paperclip to reset the system. If still nothing, remove the unit and verify that the power comming in from the hot line falls between 11V and 16V. If you do not have these readings then the problem lies somewhere in your vehicle wiring.
PS : just in case you dont have the manual to this one, you can click here for it.

and my truck battery's went dead then it won't power on now
I'm on my third uv8020 with the same exact issue they last about a year then the problem acures. My first one i stripped it all down took the dvd player out removed the screen put it back in and i had aux and am/fm control again. I think the problem lies in too small of a capacitor inside the unit itself what irritates me is there is no info on this exact problem but three separate radio's dont lie. Im going to call audiovox soon and see what they say
