You may have to activate that imput through your menu.Alot of plasmas have the ability to mute imputs.

if you haven't unplugged the unit for 30 seconds, try that. otherwise, if that doesn't help, probably a board needs to be replaced. call phillips for service.

When the tv won't scroll to the HDMI inputs, it means that the tv does not detect a signal on those inputs. This either means the tv has an issue and can't receive an HDMI signal(very unlikely) or there is no signal being sent from the source(converter box) The first thing I would do is unplug all output connections from the box except for the HDMI output and see if this gets rid of your problem. If not, I would be more inclined to think you have a problem with your converter box than with your TV. You could also try using the HDMI ouput of a DVD player if you have one.

I had a similar problem with a Mac Mini. The problem was caused by a mix-matched resolution (the Mac tries to use 75Hz refresh rate, TV expects 60Hz). The best solution I found was to remote into the Mac (I used LogMeIn.com) and change the resolution on the Mac from a remote computer until the image appears on screen.
Process:
1) Connect Mac to a normal monitor and install the LogMeIn server (or other VNC type application)
2) Connect the Mac to the TV
3) Connect to LogMeIn from another computer (preferrably one where you can see the TV)
4) Go to Applications / System Preferences / Display
5) Change the resolution to your TVs native resolution, and change the refresh rate to 60Hz

hello..try to change the sound settings to HDMI..you say when you use other cables everything is fine so the TV reconizes the HDMi as a video only so your sound settings should be changed to HDMI
