I have HP 2410 photosmart connected to my laptop (vista). When I turn on printer it blinks continuously, showing the hourglass. When I go to HP Director, I get HP Image Zone is incompatible. I have disconnected the printer, reconnected (whereby it makes a horrible repetitive noise for a while, then nothing but the blinking). What do I need to get my printer to work?

clean the cartridge rails and move the cartridge by hand if possible the full length of the rail, turn off, then on to reset. Hope that fixes it for ya
