If the lights work, why did you buy a new battery that you didn't need? A car like an Audi A6 can't be fixed by 'guessing'. It is what I call the 'Let's try replacing this' method of car repair. Modern cars need electronic diagnosis using the OBD2 port that is provided for that purpose. You need an auto electrician, his pro grade scan tool computer will show where the problem is. Did you check fuses and relays with your digital multimeter?
Also, when you disconnect the battery, the anti-theft system needs resetting.
All Windows or 1? If all check fuses. layout is in owners manual as well as locations. If one window either the window switch or window motor. If you a little mechanical you can change out switch. If not find a good mechanic with references on your car. Motor is more labor intensive. Hope just the switch. If it is the fuse and you replace it and it blows again, short in the wiring. Good luck
Hi all happy new year 2016 i have exactly same problem with Audi a3 8p 2.0l fsi 2005 fuel pump running all the Time ( with and without ignition)non stop . For stop it i need to remove fuel pump fuse. I think this part is defective
im not sure what year or make this audi is but some will loose the programing and need to be reprogramed, the dealer does this, but if the windows had a problem before the battery replacement then there good be a problem with the driverdoor window switches, if that switch goes bad then no window will operate, pop switch up and test for power to switches, also make sure all wires are connected back on to the battery and that nothing was pulled apart. good day.
I believe Active Sync has been replaced by Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista. I'm not using my Axim any longer but was able to sync it using Windows Mobile Device Center. You should be able to download at : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/help/synchronize/device-center-download.mspx
this is very common for this car, the transmitters will just stop working. youll need a new key fob and you will need to have it programmed at a dealership.
The window regulator clips are a very common failure. I bought some on ebay which were an improved version compared to the original supplied with the car. I think they are regularly available on ebay!
