Hi, I have the Grohe ATRIO 5-Hole Bath Combination, MODEL # 25049. This is for a master tub. The diverter is leaking water when I switch on the cold water and how water at the same time but not when I just have hot water on. The water is coming below the diverter. I took it apart and I see a lot of water around the diverter cartridge. Is that normal? Any idea on how to fix this leak? Thanks for the quick replies. The cartridge also seems very loose. I looked up the part and it's Grohe 45607. If I just buy a replacement cartridge and install it should that fix the issue? Something like this one? http://www.nationalbuildersupply.com/gro...

Real hard to know what's going on, but I would change the cartridge with a new one. Likely there is a nick in the cold side seal. Or a small crack in the cartridge body.

SOURCE: Grohe shower assembly leaking

hiit sounds as though the diverter valve is sticking in the mid position although you have turned it to the floor spout as you call it!!
Also it sounds as though the seals are possibly leaking causing the plasterboard (drywall) to get we, or possibly a joint may be leaking. Advice access the pip-work valve etc run shower & check with torch (flashlight) to see where its coming from?
Rectification work replace seals/repair leak...replace diverter valve assembly.

SOURCE: moen single handle valve tub/shower

The Moen Posi-Temp Valve is a pressure balanced valve and when not used for long periods of time they can stick causing only cold or hot water to pass through the valve.
A New Posi-temp cartridges can be purchased at most plumbing supply houses or big box outlets such as Lowes or Home Depot.
As long as you had cold water before, a new cartridge will solve the problem. In the future it would be wise to occassionally operate the valve at least a couple of times a month in order to keep the pressure assembly from becoming lodged in position. Just follow the instructions included with the new cartridge on the proper removal of the old cartridge and the installation of the new cartridge. a little silicone grease inside of the valve before installing the new cartridge will also help.
Be sure that there is no particles of the old cartridge left in the valve.

I have a banner 3 handle tub/shower faucet. I am trying to fix the center diverter valve. Now, when turning on the tub, I have good pressure but little to no pressure to the shower. Why? What is the...

1. Check that you are not turning the diverter too far or not far enough in the SHOWER direction.

2. It's possible that the the center part of the diverter that shuttles between ling up with the TUB hole or the SHOWER hole is installed backwards. In the SHOWER position the water pressure keeps it in the SHOWER position and when water pressure drops it defaults to the TUB position. When installed wrong, the water pressure pushes it to the TUB position.

Hopes this helps. Let me know via message or rating (if helpful)

When I run water through this tub spout (diverter in down position) I still have water leaking from the showerhead. I have seen water from a tub spout when the shower is on, but not the other way around....

After you turn water off in about 30 secs pull the diverter up and leave for a few minutes This should allow the water left in shower piipe to drain out the spigot

Shower/Tub Diverter Value Low Water Pressure

I had the same problem. I discovered that an O ring was missing (or I lost it without noticing) from a new diverter that I installed. Just got an O ring that fits on the threaded part of the collar where it meets the pipe. Worked fine. Amazing how a little plastic piece could make such a difference.
