Question about Whirlpool Freezers
I have an Whirlpool ARC7612 that has recently started shutting down intermittently - it'll come on for 2 days then will go dead... this cycle repeats (although the door light always works fine). The compressor works fine too - and there are no problems with the thermostat.
Is there anything else I can check that would be causing this?

It could be the thermostat. When you catch it in a cycle where it's warming up, gently tap the dial with the handle of a screw driver. If it starts chances are it's bad. If you know electricty you can jump the two terminals on the thermostat to do this test.
