SOURCE: I have a Dell latitude d505 and it won't load

Hello, from my experience, it sounds to me like you have had some kind of damage from a virus. It is hard to say for sure. But from what you have described, whatever is wrong seems severe enough to perform a SYSTEM RECOVERY. There is a HIDDEN PARTITION on your hard drive that you can access to perform this action. Here's what to do:
1) Make sure your computer is pluged into an outlet and charging before you begin.
2) Press the Power On button, Hold Down the Ctrl key & Press F11. Then, release both keys at the same time.
3) At the Symantec PC Restore Screen, press TAB to highlight RESTORE and then press Enter.
4) When the Warning Message appears stating All Data Will Be Lost, highlight CONFIRM and press ENTER.
5) The process takes about 10 minutes and will bring your system back to its Original Factory Condition.
6) At the end of the process, Click FINISH to restart the system.
7) After you have completed the Restore process, be sure to go to the MANUFACTURE'S Support Website to download/ Install Any/All Current Updates related to your Model.
8) Also, last but not least, go to the Windows Update Website and Update your Operating System Software.
9) Oh! I almost forgot to include your choice of Virus Protection Software.. VERY, VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Well, that about does it.. Please be sure to follow the instructions in the EXACT order I listed them, OK? GREAT LUCK!! Lucky4lynn2 :)

SOURCE: I can not reboot my Dell Studio XPS 1645 running

Sounds like you've tried everything except a complete reinstall. If there is information you need off that computer the hard drive will need to be taken out and plugged into another PC as a second hard drive then all can be copied. Then try a complete reinstall and good luck with that. If any problems doing a reinstall i would look at the ram. Cheers from Scott and plz vote

Bought a Fugitsu T4020D with a broken screen at a yard sale. Fixed the screen but it is password locked at BIOS, and before Windows loads. How can I unlock the BIOS to get into this thing?

1. Bypass Windows 7 Logon Password with Command Prompt While computer couldn't boot normally or notebook is infected with Trojans or malware, you can get rid of them by starting computer in Windows Safe Mode. Furthermore, when lost or forgot Windows password, you can also bypass Windows 7 logon password easily in Safe Mode.
In Windows 7, there are 3 different types of safe modes to choose, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt. And the following guide is about how to bypass Windows login password with Command Prompt in Safe Mode. With net user command in Windows safe mode, you can reset Windows password effectively. Details as follows:
Step 1: Start or restart your Windows 7 computer.
Step 2: Press F8 to enter Advanced Boot Options before the Windows 7 loading screen appears.
Step 3: Choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt in the coming screen, and then press Enter.
Step 4: Wait for Windows 7 files loading until Windows login screen comes up.
Step 5: Log in Windows with an administrator account until you see login screen.
Step 6: A Command Prompt appears. Type net user in the Command Prompt and then hit Enter. All Windows user accounts will be listed for you.
Step 7: Type net user iSunshare 12345 and hit Enter.
Note: "iSunshare" is your locked Windows user account name. And "12345" means the new password you want to reset for the locked account. User account "iSunshare" will be reset with new password "12345".
Step 8: The new password has been successfully reset for user when the command is completed successfully.
Step 9: Login Windows 7 PC with the new password.
Whenever you need to access Windows in Safe Mode, an administrator account password is necessary. So it is highly recommended that write down Windows password and store it or creating a Windows password recovery disk before Windows password lost.

Hi ,I have HP Pav DV6 with windows 7.But I want to install windows server 2003 & its not allowing me.I want to make it dual boot,Plzz help.I need to do it urgently...

Hi,
Please understand that Windows 7 uses different startup files and procedures so it is expected that the original Windows Windows 7 system cannot be booted if you install a new dual boot Windows Server 2003 system. If you would like to install Windows Server 2003 on another partition, please do that first. After that, Windows Server 2003 will boot but WIndows 7 not. However, we can try the following method to make Windows Vista work again: Insert the Windows 7 disk into DVD-ROM. Click Start, click Accessories, right-click the command-prompt shortcut, and then click Run as Administrator. Type the following command at a command prompt and press Enter: Drive:\boot\Bootsect.exe /NT60 All In this command, Drive is the drive where the Windows 7 installation media is located. Note The boot folder for this step is on the DVD drive. 4. type the following commands at a command prompt and press Enter. Note In the commands below, Drive is the drive where Windows 7 is installed. Drive:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d "Windows Server 2003" Drive:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /set {ntldr} device partition=x: (Note: x: is the drive letter for the active partition. For example, if 2003 is installed on C drive, device partition=c: ) Drive:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr Drive:\Windows\system32\Bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast
5. Restart the computer.
