The water tank at the rear must make a proper seal. Make sure it is clean and lubricate with Vaseline. The cup tray also catches drips so remove it and empty any water into the sink.

Does it only leak when making coffee? There are 2 hoses, one that supplies cool water to heating element in base the other one that supplies the heated water from heating element to top of coffee grounds. Typically over time this 2nd hose degrades at heating element connection and begins to leak
Your d/w has leak detector built into the base frame out the unit and it has detected the presence of water in the base frame,causing all functions to be overridden except for the drain pump to come on(it is there to prevent water from leaking onto the floor and ruining the flooring in the kitchen) The two leading causes of water in the base frame are; oversudsing causing water to enter base from vent in the rear of the tub the seal on the circulate (wash) pump is leaking
it's possible, like mine with the same problem, that one or more of the plastic feet under the water tank has broken, then making the tank move and upsetting the valve underneath. My one always leaks clean water, never dirty and I have a broken foot.
i think it's supposed to do that. the cup at the base is supposed to be catching all the water that the tassimo is 'leaking'. it should be dumped after every cup of tea/coffee.
if you have taller cups, and do not use the cup base that comes with the machine in order to fit the taller cups under where the tea/coffee comes out, then you are right. it seems like it's 'leaking' because it is. there should be enough room in the base for one cup, but then it can also be removed so as to dump the excess water out after the cup is made.
