Having problem with the picture on tv

Picture is fine on left side of tv, middle of tv the picture starts to turn a darker color and the right side of tv starts to fade in slow motion as if the refresh rate is not keeping up. I put in a new TCON Board but that didn't help. I noticed when I turned on the tv that the LED Driver makes a humming sound. Didn't know if that was normal and if not would that be the cause of my picture problem?

I replaced both backlight boards but still having problem with LCD TV...it is too dark and color distortion.

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

My Vizio TV has dark spot top left corner

Hi Brandon,
I am afraid that the dark spot in the screen is not repairable. Manage as long as you can or go for a new tv.

Dark line down the middle of my flat screen tv

Most LCD and PLASMA sets use two boards (some combine them into one board) that drive the Display Panel (the entire front screen unit) so I would suspect one of yours is bad.

The other unpleasant possible cause is where the left board is connected to the Display Panel (entire front screen unit) you have a problem inside that Display Panel and that is fatal as there is no way to get INSIDE the panel---it can cause both lines and a dark picture on one side of the screen.

I left my tv on when I went to bed and the picture was fine. Then I woke up and turned it off. When I came home and turned it back on, the picture was blurry all around the tv except in the middle of the...

is the blurry all around the picture have different color like a smear of red, blue or yellow?
if it is i think the posistor of your tv is not working. it is the one who activate the degaussing coil around the picture tube the prevent color miss-landing upon opening your tv set.

You have a completely different problem. The screen voltage for the blue picture tube is slightly too high on your set. This will put fine lines in the background of the picture, called retrace lines. This is very common and easy to correct. Remove the front speaker cover and the access panel behind it. Look inside and you will see a black box with six controls, each control having a little white glue on it. This is the Focus/Screen block. Three controls are labeled Focus and three are labeled Screen. The screen control in the center is for green but I am not sure if the screen control on the left or right is for blue for your model. With the TV on, set it to VIDEO 1 but do not connect anything to the VIDEO 1 jacks. This will produce a pure dark picture, showing any faint lines in the background. Choose one of the screen controls and increase (turn clockwise) it slightly. If the blue lines do not get brighter it means you are turning the red screen control, so put it back where it was and choose the other screen control. When you find the blue screen control, decrease (turn counter-clockwise) it until just when the blue lines are gone. If you want you can check that the red and green screen controls are set to just below the point where their faint lines are visible. When done, replace the panels and your picture will be back to perfect.

MikeNJ1964 was exactly right! I have a Sony KP-65WV600 that had horizontal green lines that showed when the picture was darker. I had to remove 3 screws on the right and left side of the tv holding in the speakers...carefully pop out the middle panel from the clips holding it in....remove 4 screws from the cardboard in the middle and remove the cardboard. I then saw the six screws. The adjustment screws were the three below. I turned the middle screw until the lines dissapeared. I tried the left screw and blue lines appeared which I then adjusted away.
THANKS a bunch. SAVED me money!!!

Hitachi Standard T.V.

Some of the problem could be a weak or damaged picture tube - especially if it encountered rough handling in the move. Other possibilities are bad capacitors in the power supply and deflection circuits which are common with this aged set. No adjustments come to mind that could permanently fix these symptoms.
