Check if you have Spybot installed and if orkut and facebook name is in Host list (advanced interface) Find your Host file: in XP is C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetc and open it with Notepad: You get : # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp. # # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows. # # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name. # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one # space. # # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol. # # For example: # # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost # Start of entries inserted by Spybot - Search & Destroy 127.0.0.1 www.007guard.com 127.0.0.1 007guard.com 127.0.0.1 00 etc. etc ..... .... If your required Website is the list remove it and save the host file.
I guess this is a Startup item on your computer and you can easily remove this from your computer by going in to the registry. But, before that to make sure you can try disabling it from the system configuration utility..
In order to do that, click Start -> Run -> Msconfig -> Ok
Click Startup tab and look for the entry boot.vbs..
Simply clear the check box and restart the computer..
Lemme know the result.. if it works then i can assist you in removing it permanently.
