You have asked a number of questions. How old is the Washer?
Based on your questions, it may be time to replace. No I am not a
GE Rep. Parts can be ordered online. Google Appliance parts. They may be able to help with "how to's". If newer machine, still warranty? If so check with GE. Otherwise, if the tub isn't being over filled and spin out doesn't send water outside the outer tub which could explain the dripping. Verify gasket leak by leaving water in tub and measure height of water very carefully let stand several days and remeasure.
Remove top should be springs on the front. Push in, to release, tip-up top. Tub must be removed. Remove the agitator by removing the top plastic, should reveal top nut holding down the agitator. You will see a number of nuts holding the agitator tower to reveal gasket. There may be rusting and pin holes causing the leak. I would check this before attempting gasket. I had a similar issue, used JB Weld epoxy about 5 year ago, still not leaking. Possibly the agitator tower has a seal leaking at top. If so that is in transmission and should be replaced as well as the bottom gasket. It may be $200 part.
Due to all the trouble, I replaced it to prevent future failure. You may find a lightly used replacement washer for about that price.

SOURCE: Water Leakage Under Front Load Washer

most likley cause of your problem is the grey bellows has a tear in it. Inspect the bellows to check for tears. Or you can remove the lower panel and run the washer and look for the leak that way. Im sure it is a tear in the belows. Not a diffacult part to replace if you are mechanicly inclined. Good luck.

SOURCE: Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

Check the big rubber seal around the door for any holes or tears. Had the same problem, my husband had a screw in his pocket that torn a hole in the gasket.

Sounds like the tub seal under the tub where the transmission goes into the tub. Replace the trans and seal.

Door gasket leaking

My GE washer model wcvh6400j0ww was leaking too. The repair person thought the same thing the gasket. It turned out to be the water in-let pipe (WH41X10118 and you will need seal WH41X10119) and not the gasket. He ordered the gasket and took machine apart to replace and found cracked pipe. Take your machines front off and make sure it is the gasket leaking. Good Luck,

Intermittent water on floor

Check the inlet valve hoses, even if inlet is at the back, the water may drip down and flow on the front part on the machine. There you also have the PUMP, a faulty pump may leak intermittently.

GE Profile Washer very loud bearing noise when spinning.

when they leak is when the damage usually occurs... the fact that the sound started afterwards may be a fluke, although damaging it while replacing seal is a definite possibility...

MY GE WASHER PUTS WHAT LOOKS LIKE GREASE SPOTS ON MY CLOTHES.

sounds like the transmission seal has started to leak. yes the transmission, all washers have these and at a certian age and usage the seals will start to leak grease into the drum. if this is an older unit this is not uncommon.
1) you can try to replace the seal
2) or you can buy another washer
service repairs for this cost almost as much as a new washer

GE Top load washer.

Hello rschneeweis
Welcome,

Sounds like a seal or drain hose is leaking or the clamp on a hose has vibrated loose.

Water leaking out the bottom of the machine when washing machine begins agitation cycle. If the machine is turned off the water stops leaking even with the tub full of water.

Let me know if you found it and how you do.
